I would not make that statement. It all depends on supply or certain parts, how they produce/build based on one's options as well as how many are on the waitlist in front on the OP and the number of allocations any such dealership receives per month.

Too many details involved to be able to make any timeframe statements.

Or the BEST solution is to contact your Client Advisor directly and ask he/she to run a VIR, Vehicle Inquiry Report. This will provide the most up-to-date information pertaining to vehicle production status.

It is technically not ordered until you have you have received a production number. My guess, you are on a wait list.

My first post on the forum. Cannot wait to drive this car. I never thought I would migrate to a BMW from an Audi, but I just cannot resist this car.

Happy to say that I received a production number from my dealer on 6/29/23. I ordered the car in early March. Supposedly, I will have my new M2 in late August to early September.

I honestly think you’ll get a 24, and will get the car in October! 6/1 allocations were the last round for 23 models.

If you have a production number, go to https://www.bmwusa.com/ and create an account, gonto your garage to add a car and put in your production number. It will tell you if you are getting a MY23 or MY24 which would also give an inkling as to delivery date. On Monday, ask your CA or call the Genius line for a production date, that will help determine approximate delivery time.

Any chance you have the carbon buckets? Ive read that builds sometimes get “parked” in QC due to some part(s) that became out-of-stock during production, and must be added post-production.

No I don’t have carbon buckets just a regular spec😭I called genius and they aren’t helpful the guy said it’s waiting for a boat from Germany. I had to tell him the m2 is made in Mexico😂

I just got off the phone with my dealer this morning I was given my production number yesterday and then called today and told that they will no longer be offering the carbon seats for this allocation as they do not have them. They asked if I wanted to to give up my allocation to wait to see if they become available for the next allocation but there is no guarantee. I have to figure out which way I want to go now.

I wonder why its such a challenge for BMW to consistently offer the carbon buckets - early allocations couldn’t add them, then when later allocations could it seems they constantly had their build week pushed back. Now multiple people have reported they can’t add them to the recent allocation drop once again.

It’s odd when other carbon parts are available, also when you go to build a 24 M3 on the website carbon seats aren’t even an option anymore.
