Wow!! Really feel for you, Lex. Have you considered contacting BMW Customer Care? The whole situation became quite ridiculous some time back and simply dealing with the dealer is of no use. I imagine BMW Customer Care will be your only choice for a satisfactory and prompt remedy. Your dealer seems happy to leave you waiting indefinitely. I really encourage you to contact Customer Care.

Sorry to hear Lex. At this point surely it warrants a call to wherever the car is to find out what is going on if you're getting nowhere with the sales guys here!

Very sorry to be seeing this. Delivery times and methods seem hit and miss. My car took 8 months order to Germany to be delivered. I see others taking half the time in total. BMW must have some way to update the status and what the predicted delivery is for your machine.

Hope you dont mind me tagging onto the G87 M2 Oz thread with my G42 M240. I'm at 165 (build complete was 23/8) so am obviously checking for the next few potential boats to Aus (specifically Melb port).
Wallenius Wilhelmsen is showing next Nth America to Aus boats as around the 8th and 22nd of Oct coming through Panama. I'm not certain but these WW "may" go to Lazaro Cardenas (which is the west coast port for SLP) before heading to Oz. They do come from Bremerhaven so hopefully they stop at Lazaro Cardenas for SLP. These 2 boats are: TIRRANNA arriving in Melb 15th Nov TUGELA arriving in Melb 22nd Nov https://www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com/schedules Any body else know the next boats to Oz? Yep random. Mine went from east coast Mexico (Alatamira) to Baltimore, changed boats and back down through Panama Canal…
You just have to keep onto the sales people to check their shipping info, eventually will update with the boat name and you can work it out. |

Lazaro Cardenas is used for the North American west coast states and Altamira is currently been used for North American east coast states (to reduce massive shipping delays from Veracruz). A shipping schedule is attached for sailings from Veracruz to Melbourne. However, as the ports are so congested in Mexico currently, the shipping route may be entirely different again. |

Yeah, I think you might be right 04eyes re no Lazaro Cardenas sailings for Wallenius Wilhelmsen coming to Australia.
I was hoping there was as WW listed sailing times from Veracruz is around 60 days so was hoping for some west coast action. And, as I dont believe my car was loaded onto the 2 leaving 15/18th Sept, this would push me to next year. Perhaps another RoRo carrier to Aus operate via the LC port? But I had a deeper dive and if you use just "Mexico" as the depart port in the WW schedule, then it returns all 3 mexico ports in the 1 search action (Lazaro Cardenas, Veracruz and Altamira). You get no returns on LC but Altamira returns a few that I wasnt aware of (I though only easy coast North America bound cars were using this port). Interesting there is some consolidation with boats ex Veracruz but some unique shipping's. So it looks like the 2 boats I listed before are coming to Oz, but via the east coast ports. |

I quickly summarised the WW ships coming out of Veracruz & Altamira heading to Aus for the rest of the year.
Looks like 3 boats within the week (now) and then nothing to late October. So any chance of a pre-xmas delivery means you need to be on one of the Sept boats (for WW). |

When last I checked with my dealer I was at status 160, about 3 weeks ago. I knew it was going to be a massive wait for a ship so I haven't been in touch with him. I will follow up with my dealer tomorrow to see if there's any good news. It's likely our cars are going to be on the same ship....eventually. |

Thanks for the shipping info fellas! My car was built a week and a bit ago, so i'm now hoping I can get on one of the next three ships to ensure I have some chance of receiving the car this year. Maybe we can get on the same ship 04eyes

Well finally tomorrow was to be the delivery day - exactly 7 years to the day that I got my current OG M2... but alas a minor setback has put the delivery back till 2nd week of October. Despite repeated requests not to put the ugly euro number plate bracket on...they still did!!! So it's gone back to be rectified so I will have to keep the anticipation in check for a little bit longer.

My car is already on a ship "Fidelio" and will arrive at Port Kembla on 4/11. I think you may have missed this ship AndySG. Hopefully you'll get onto a ship soon! chocdog , there's a good chance you are on the Fidelio as our builds are only 1 week apart. |
