Has anyone tried coding off ASD (active sound design)? The interior drone through the speakers on sport or sport+ is nauseating. I do put the car on comfort whenever I'm just cruising and I don't mind the valve closing. The valve open in sport/sport+ is fine but I can't stand the increased drone and bass through the speakers in those modes.

Yes I did this on day one. It was one of the easy options I did not even go into expert mode.

I have also set a number of other things, but disabling ASD is the main reason I got Bimmercode. I also added the "Sporty" (valve always open) mode, but rarely ever use it. Balanced is more or less perfect for me with ASD off.

I thought I was abnormally sensitive to drone, but I haven't noticed any drone from any mode at any RPM.

Do y'all have the HK system?

Is it a noticeable difference? I'm hearing from others that they can't really tell a difference.

Can you tell a difference between ASD on and off?

Absolutely. Relatively speaking, it sounds like your flying in a plane with it on.

Yes you can. No fake engine noise in the cabin.

I think so. I only really had ASD active for a day when I 1st got the car. But had it in my last 2 cars before it. To hear the engine or just the exhaust note from the out side of the car when the music is off is just a better experience IMO

Last week I played a bit and managed to turn off de LDW, however permanently. Meaning even the option in iDrive was gone, like it was never implemented. So I reverted it, but no matter which settings versions I used it was always active when I restarted the car. So at the moment only option to turn off is to fully turn off the feature, meaning not even in the iDrive menu.

Hello,

Interesting, thanks for the test
There may be a global code so that all changed settings of security options are remembered
I think more however of an individual memory code (last setting) as for the start/stop

Anyone have any idea when they're updating the iOS app? I really need to disable Auto Start Stop and the stupid seat belt chime.

I have the Android G42 version, but started with G20 and have coded the following:

Disabled ASD
Disabled seat belt warning
Disabled startup warning
Disabled camera warning
Disabled ASS / Enabled ASS memory
Enabled M logo at startup
Enabled B&W audio profiles
Enabled "Sporty" exhaust values (expert mode)
Set turn signals to 5x
set mirror tilt to 60%

To do
adjust dimming params to compensate for my window tint (need to try provided solution)
start in Sport Individual mode (when available)

Not possible to set the default mode in sport with G20 version (https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1742089) ?

I downloaded the bimmercode app (android) in test version but no G42 supported (redirectory to the website and limited at F generations : https://bimmercode.app/cars/bmw/2-series-m2/)

(still waiting for my MY2022 !! )

I tried the dimming function I will try and find the codes for you. But found if driving at night it was always 100% bright instead of dimming down.

Starting in Sport Individual should be enabled already I have mine starting in adaptive.

Thanks, I used the "daytime" dimming codes last night from the link in my original post. The mirror dimming is now very sensitive, but does not dim as dark as before.

I will try the start mode again this week some time.

Does any of this void the warranty?

Any of it can, if it causes anything to fail that subsequently would need to be fixed.
