makes sense. i wonder if that is a deliberate strategy, IE get your basic blocking and tackling in the new factory nailed down, and then extend your capabilities from there. would make sense but i am not in the biz. FWIW my build quality has been fantastic so far, 9k miles ~7 mo, no problems.

Yah my 2023 (our dealership’s HEA car, which means first of the model) has been absolutely perfect since it came in last May. Very happy with the build quality. Anyone that has doubts about the Mexico plant build quality at this point is just making things up.

Twilight purple!

Someone above has been listening to at least some of my dreams. 🙏

I’ve been debating used M3 vs new M2 for the longest because of lacking color options.

Losing cognac makes the purple a bit less appealing as to me that would have been the interior to set it off with.

Not sure how blue stitching precisely matches. The M color accent seats seem forced on first thought. Red seat accents .. don’t think that hits the mark. Hmmm🤔

I went to the dealer last night and checked out 2 gloss Portimao cars and I really think frozen is the way to go for Portimao. Just kinda lost its magic with so much reflection. Didn’t help they were all a bit dirty.

iifymbro how does the frozen Portimao behave when it’s got a typical week’s worth of dust and/or post-rain funk on it? Is it any different (better or worse) than a traditional gloss paint?

I'd say it's mostly the same, maybe a touch worse visually. Washes right off if you've got ceramic coat on it though so no biggie. I had a gloss portimao m340i before this and I agree, the frozen is definitely cooler.

The M highlight seats look perfect on ZB, ask me how I know lol. But agreed feels off if wanting to pair to the purple.

Always had a thing for purple BMWs (M3s to be exaxt) so if I were to do it again, I'd go with Twighlight. Still, BSM looks so good on this car.

Yeah I am going to go Twilight. Want to be a little different. I love the way it pops in the sun. Also, judging by the comments on this thread I think everyone is going Voodoo so I will be unique. Toyed with the idea of Java Green but don’t have the stones to pull the trigger but it does look crazy (in a good way).

Agreed. Twilight purple, and voodoo blue, would give me something to think about if I was ordering one right now. I would still go with BSM (with black wheels) though since I don't want to stand out in a crowd and the black on black is the look I want. I hope to see some of these new M2 colors in person in the next few months.
