I believe all that is left is for the Governor to sign it and then it will become law. I cannot see him not signing it after this has passed both houses with such support.

This bill will become law on August 27 if no action is taken by the Gov. Bills that are passed by the House and Senate have a timer on them once they get sent to the Gov. If he doesn't sign or deny it by some 6 week period or so, it automatically becomes law.
1 week my fellow wrongly persecuted co-livers. Stay tuned... |

I'm not doubting, just curious. EDIT: From another forum, it was vetoed in order to change one of the pieces. It's related to SUV's and other vehicles with rear windows that are tinted from the factory. "on multipurpose passenger vehicles . . . a nonreflective tinted film originally applied by the manufacturer, that allows at least 50% light transmittance, with a 5% variance observed by any law enforcement official metering the light transmittance, may be used on the side windows immediately adjacent to each side of the driver" new: "on multipurpose passenger vehicles . . . with a nonreflective tint originally applied by the manufacturer on the windows to the rear of the driver’s seat, the side windows immediately adjacent to each side of the driver may be treated with a nonreflective tint that allows at least 50% light transmittance, with a 5% variance observed by a law enforcement official metering the light transmittance". |

Yes, unffortunately they wait to the last minute then decide to change some language. I see nothing gets looked at until it's 60 days on the Gov desk is one day out. Fucking typical.
Sounds like this will pass eventually. Just more waiting on our beautiful government process... |
