Typical delicate crap leather in the Mcars. I am a longtime BMW fanboi and have owned so many, but this is my number 1 complaint about the interior when compared to MB, Lexus...etc.

I'm not very familiar with CCBs. Can the disks be swapped with regular disks at some point? It would be cool if they just created a nice OEM BBK instead. |

Ummmm.....that's a personal issue, not a leather issue. I've never seen leather look that bad in a BMW. What do you do, work in an auto shop or something, and then get into your car while wearing dirty clothes???? |

Ummmm, that's not my car first of all, so not the personal issue you are implying. It's the M3/4 from page 1 of this thread. Secondly, BMW is notorious for sagging leather in the driver seat, cracked and pealing bolsters as well. I am very careful when getting in and out of my cars and the leather looks better than most other M cars I see after 3-4yrs. But even still it is relatively delicate compared to other premium brand competitors IMO. There is many that would agree.

Well you weren't very clear, and your statement was typed in such a way that I believed it was your seat. Either way, that is one horrible seat (..and it's still the driver's issue rather than an issue with the quality/craftsmanship of the leather). |

Suspect indeed that these 2 cars are coming straight from Brussels motor show which had more than 600,000 visitors...so nothing to worry imo. It took 15 years of daily usage before my light grey leather on E36 M3 started to have significant wear/cracks

looks cheap (interior and exterior) compared to my new E9x. Would have chosen a used GT-R instead if I could not have gotten my E9x order in time by end of production, i'm thrilled to own a new 2013 E9x M3.

I must be missing the part where it's the leather's fault for having dye and other residue discolor it.
Also, why should it be a shock that you need to condition your leather and take care of it? What type of magic leather does Porsche use that is immune from this trickery? |

What's your point? I've also owned many E9X and E46 M3's (...and I was already on my 5th M3 before you bought your first one). Why do current M3 owners always have to reduce a discussion down to the car somebody currently drives? Not that the 'Drives' information is always up to date, but even still, it's like you guys purposely disregard, "prev. IB, AW M3's". Imbeciles! |
