Bimmercode connected 1x but no more?
Received the OHP ENET cable and UGreen usb-c to ethernet adapter for iphone 15 Pro today & was able to connect Bimmercode the first time I plugged in the cables. I was able to activate the B&W sound profiles, turn off the warning on the start screen, and adjust the default audio volume.
Disconnected everything and drove my son to work. Came home, plugged everything back in & now it won't connect. I have followed the steps outlined by Bimmercode for "preparing the car" and connecting. Nothing works. I've also searched google and this forum for solutions, and no luck. I've attached a screenshot of what I'm seeing on my phone. I'm assuming it may be due to not getting an IP address on the ethernet setting screen on my phone? Side note, when I was connected I noticed a lot of features Bimmercode says are available on the G87 did not show up or gave me an "error cannot code" when I clicked on the feature (like seat heating). Appreciate the help.

Mine seems to connect about half the time. The other half it doesn’t seem to recognize. I have used the M3 in the past to code on my m2 for the ambient lighting.

So far the response from Bimmercode is to lock the car, wait awhile then try again. I've done that multiple time with both vehicles & it still doesn't connect. Pretty frustrating.

Anyone using the enet cable with an adapter on iphone 15 pro? If so what adapter are you using. Last response from Bimmercode was maybe it's the adapter.

You are right, maybe the variable that’s acting up is the USB-C adapter. I’m using the Lightning one because iPhone 13 Pro.
Are you certain you have your car in service mode (3 pushes of the start button)? What are your BimmerCode settings? (Vehicle Bus) Also, does BimmerCode have access to the network? |

Hope it's just the adapter. Sorry I don't know much about how they play with USB-C, as it's so new.

An update: I purchased a new ethernet -> usb-c adapter (Belkin) and Bimmercode connected immediately. Hopefully that resolved the issue.

Connected to my wife's X3MC as well, so appears to be resolved. Her vehicle (iDrive 7) had additional sound profiles for the B&W audio (lounge & movie theater).
I have to look into it more, but is it possible to change more than 1 ambient light color? The standard colors in the G87 are horrible. |

You can also choose different colours for the lights on the roof/door, and on the floor. I have mine set to red on the top/doors and blue on the bottom. You don’t want blue on the top as it’s annoying at night. It’s nice to have the option to set different colours. Don’t forget that they replace the first colour option (ivory, IIRC). So if you choose any other option in iDrive it’ll change to that, and ivory becomes the colours you chose in BimmerCode. |
