Also people in the UK / Europe had it available in the past 2 days on other platforms, too. It seems the US is usually later: https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1&postcount=14

A note to anyone with coding: this update will reset everything. You might want to take note of whatever changes you'd made before!

The manual calls this out. But good reminder.

I finally received my software update on my car (Washington DC area). Notes don't say much, and I had to re-code the things with bimmercode. Oddly enough, I noticed that it kept the equalizer settings but everything else was basically reset.
One immediate difference is an overall faster response. It annoyed me that I have to set the M-Driving mode from road to sport each time I start the car, and doing so with the center knob was always a fight. It would be delayed, and Android Auto starting at the same time. Sometimes it would take me pushing M-Mode 3 times, waiting a few seconds, and I can finally select sport mode. Now it seems to be more responsive.

Updated my software yesterday. Main improvement is the speed you can now select M1 and M2. The delay is gone. Great update

Lost the ability to code B&W sound improvements, regained legal disclaimer on start up. BMW updates just seem to take things away.

Could you elaborate on this? Did you try and recode?

When you go into the Bimmercode coding menus they are gone. Tried twice.

Use the M3 menu. They are still there. That’s what I did and I’m back in action!

Have you tried it since the latest update? I used the M3 menu today and it was not there.

Maybe the head unit in a G87 is different from the one in a G42???

Possibly. I haven’t researched anything regarding the G42 and was referring to the G87.

OK I figured it out. For some reason, unbeknownst to me, my Bimmercode App was not recognizing that I had purchased the full version and hence the headunit contrpol module was not being displayed. The head unit module controls the B&W sound and legal disclaimer on start up. So all is good again.

Just installed the OTA update a few days ago, and I’ve noticed that the radio volume level is no longer displayed on the infotainment screen when I increase or decrease volume using the central knob or the steering wheel controls.

Anyone else come across this?

Thoughts on how to remedy?

Did you try resetting iDrive?
Hold the volume button (mute) for 70 seconds (it'll restart twice). Let us know.

I’m thinking OTA March/April to receive the November one if the info we have is accurate (arrears of 1 update, they are released in March, July, and November).
