You got the update via the MyBMW app? Did you have the 07/23 version before?

You haven’t received it yet, how do you know it’s being rolled out?

I recall in BMW documents somewhere that the dealers get the latest software release soon after the applicable version is made available at the end of March, July and November. This is used if immediate issues need to be sorted. The general availability for the OTA update is then just before the next release is made available to dealers. It does seem like European countries, Canada, Australia, etc, do get the release a few weeks ahead of the US, though, going by the info on forums for other models.

That's what I thought was true too, but we have irrefutable evidence to the contrary now

That’s very specific…
Don’t then, we don’t want thet.
But…
So for some reason BMW doesn’t want anyone to have any real facts about future updates because? And enough to threaten people not to post timelines online…
If I go missing all the sudden, you’ll all know why.

I picked up my new car Dec 29. It came with 11/2023.25 on it. Australia. When I try to look for the release notes via the app I get only 23-07 info..

That’s likely because the dealer updated it. Dealers have access to the latest version, whereas OTA takes longer to make it available.

I finally updated mine but it required sitting there for 15 mins with the car off. I guess I could have left… but I’ve never done this before.

Didn’t notice a change after the update.

Did you go from 03 to 07?
If so, the M presets do not require waiting 2 seconds for the confirmation (second push of the button) if your preset had some sort of TC off (MDM or TC off). It’s just a double press now.
This is the most significant change.

I’ll check that out tomorrow when I drive it and let you know. (Weather permitting I don’t drive it below 40)

Your BMW App will tell you which version you have too

But yeah, that’s it for new features you can “feel”. If the 2 second delay to choose M1/M2 bothered you, it’s now gone.

This is the screenshot from my app!

And to be honest I haven’t notice the change in speed with m1 and m2

Yeah you have the “latest OTA update”.
I got that one months ago, apparently the US is the last to get it.

The dealers have the 11/2023 update, it has to be done via ISTA connected to the car by them. We’re expecting it to roll out to us via OTA in March (despite a claim to the contrary here).

You’d only notice a change if your M1/M2 disabled traction control.
