Dongle to link sport display with M1/M2

Installed dongle that automatically links sport display to M1/M2 buttons.
Courtesy of M Division from the land down under, purchased through messenger here. Not sure how he or the company will be selling these otherwise. The cost is $350.
Install was easier on my MT than his video on the auto, which was already super easy.

On brief testing, it works as advertised in his video. When you activate M1 or M2, display/HUD switches to SPORT mode.
For me, this is worth every penny. I drive exclusively in sports display and nearly exclusively in M1. This is a gripe I had from day 1 hour 1 in the car back in April. Time saved alone will pay for this dongle, not to mention less aggravation.
His video attached. On 6MT, trim and console are single piece held by clips. No screws as in his video. Pop the whole thing off, plug the dongle/piggyback. Presto.

What do you mean? OP is in NJ... Are you referring to prohibitive shipping costs from Australia to your country?
For $300 shipping should be included.

I contacted the guy listed there on Instagram. He sends it for $100 less since it comes from the "source" (I'm sure he makes a profit too, if he's not the one who makes it), but it's only one person making money and shipping is cheaper from there. It seemed legit but I didn't pull the trigger myself.

Our friend Skooba1231 reached out to me to get this info and I passed it on and he pulled the trigger. He can share a bit more with us about it. It seems all legit so far.

It works awesome, it was my first mod and has been working perfect, its easy to install and good price.
M Division sells it, pm him, he has all the answers.

I have a Korean friend of mine looking into "Bimmerwerks" to source it or at least point us to the right website. From there, thanks to Google translate, there shouldn't be any issues getting straight to the source. Fingers crossed!

Yeah that’s what I tried, and even translating I found out they didn’t have a store.
So the Korean guy sources it for $200. Maybe he’s the official vendor, maybe he gets a cut.

What I don’t believe in is someone ordering it from this guy that sells it for $200 and then selling it for $350 here hush hush in the forums.

I wish there were online stores but I don’t know if there is one.

Just imagine the revenue they'd have if they offered it for 100-150 somewhere that accepted paypal...

Yep, the only thing stopping me from buying one is that I apparently have to email some sketchy Gmail address. Wtf is that about? I used Google lens and found the designer's personal blog. I then found the address for the company by zooming in on the photos. No business website from what I saw, which is weird because the box looks like it's manufactured well.

I didn’t refuse to pay. It’s your preference what functionality is worth what to you. I applaud trying to get it cheaper from the source.
Meanwhile, I’m satisfied with the dongle. I agree this functionality should be included, but I wouldn’t count on BMW.
I suspect since Sport display disables some safety features like lane assist, it might be prohibitive for them to do so. Speculation.

Got the module yesterday, took less than 5 minutes to install on a manual car. Works great!

We're you able to check for any part numbers on the connectors? Shouldn't be a rocket science to build a connectors or with few wires.
