I'm wondering if the Blendmount BR7-2018 will fit our G87s. I'm assuming the rear view mirror is the same on the G87 as the G20/G42/G80, etc. but please correct me if I'm wrong. Currently looking at second hand examples as $160 for a small piece of metal brand new is too much for me lol.

I purchased the following for my V1 gen 2 mount: "Aluminum Radar Detector Mount for Valentine One, Specialty 3032 Series, BV1-3032"

I was in the same boat as you. I purchased a blend mount years ago for my g20. I was about to buy the g87 specific blend mount, but decided to try out my old blend mount. It works. Sure, it's not a perfect fit, but it definitely works. See photo. Mirror taps coming soon, didn't feel like taking apart the mirror trim just yet.

Any significant issues with the fitment? As long as it doesn't vibrate or rattle whenever I drive the car it's good enough for me.
