I really like those wheels but I would have thought 21" wheels would be a pretty rough ride. How have they been for you? I was interested in them for the G87.

Nothing the G87 M2 LCI of April 2025 cannot fix.

Remember BMW leaving M240i mirrors on the F87 M2 (reveal in 2015 - deliveries in April 2016) ? That got fixed in 2018 (M2C).

Sorry, but I occasionally lol to those that mention waiting for the LCI, especially given that the G87 is not launching until April 2023. Live in the now! None of us are guaranteed tomorrow and there is no telling what could shake up our lives within that time. Covid should have taught all of us that. Plus, if you wait for the next best thing, you are always going to be waiting.

LCI will be in April 2025, only 2yrs after launch.

I’m not disagreeing with you, but speculation, certainly not guaranteed in that timeframe.

Germany is headed into a recession, the CEO of BMW has recently even admitted such. More than likely the U.S. is headed in that direction too.

It's not speculation, check out the future models thread.

G42 2er coupe
  • In production until 07/29 with LCI in 04/25

M cars get the LCI treatment at the same time the regular series does.

Things are not always set in stone. There are so many variables in play currently with a large one being the many of conversations being held internally at BMW in regards to current production at plant Mexico being moved due to the current administration’s new stipulations regarding EV production for consumer tax credits. This stems from the recently passed/signed IRA, inflation reduction act.

I actually didn't notice that much difference in the ride when switching to them, or to say, not in a much harsher way than before.
But I'm not really a good reference in terms of ride quality, as I have KW V4 installed with a much stiffer setup before switching to the 1000Ms.

But the sidewall difference is not that huge, as here you have a 295 tire on the 21" wheel. Maybe some other members chime in that still have the stock suspension on their. And of course it is very subjective and depends on how the roads are in your area. I'm lucky with that point here

thanks for the response. Our road here are not that bad...I drive mostly highway which is nice. I would be switching these out for winter wheels and tires with thicker side walls for when the roads start to get bad. I do love those wheels though! I am thinking those with a red car...BOOM!

Yeah the wheels are really special. I'm quite picky with wheels and was looking for summer wheels whole last winter but always ended coming back to the 1000Ms and finally pulled the trigger in spring

Ohhh yes, they would look sick on a red G87

I've seen F87 Comps loaded up to $72K. I think these will be closer to $80K if you want everything.

Those wheels are great, but I will never own a mesh type wheel again. Takes longer to clean the wheels than the rest of the car.

Looking forward to the full reveal.
$72K that's strange. That's must have been with MP parts added on. I purchased a brand-new, fully loaded M2 competition and my car maxed out at $66,500 with destination. Mine was MY2020
The one I recall at $72K on the sticker had 763M wheels. Not sure if that was an option or add on accessory.
