Owners, please discuss any bizarre idiosyncrasies that you found in your new ride.
I'll kick it off. The heated steering wheel turns on instantly and gets the wheel toasty within the first 15 seconds. Which is bizarre coming from a 2020 M2C, that takes a solid minute or two to warm up. The volume knob is practically useless. It takes multiple rotations to get the sound up to a level you are used to in virtually any other car. The carbon buckets heat up about the same rate as my seats in the F87C, maybe a little quicker, I only did it to one level. You can adjust the hood level with the bump stop knobs very easily. I noticed my hood wasn't level and it was a super quick fix.

Where do you turn on the heated steering wheel? I love it on my Porsche, the button is kind of hidden inside the bottom of the wheel.

The button is under the horn (airbag), facing you, directly on the wheel (unlike the F87C where it was on the column hidden).

It's on the steering wheel, unless you didn't option it.

You want first world problems? The bathroom heated floors don't work when there's a power outage, even though my backup generator automatically kicks on. Now those are first world problems.

Driving home tonight and Waze lost its mind. It placed my car about 1/2 mile west of its true location. Known iDrive 8 issue passing bad GPS info to phone. Fix supposedly coming over the air this month. |

Have we figured out the ideocracies yet?
My annoyance about the car is the fact that I do not have it yet. Apart from that, everything's great. |

I haven’t found many real quirks with the car.
The rear fenders are more visible in the side mirrors in this car than in any other non-exotic I’ve driven. The rear PDC warning tone sounds like the first note from the Super Mario Bros NES main theme. My black wheels aren’t represented in the iDrive UI. Zandvoort Blue gets a lot of attention. The ambient lighting color palette is different from that of the M240i and other G2x/8x. No Lilac, no deep blue. The auto A/C program is the best I’ve experienced. HK audio seems to be better than the G82 version. |

Maybe I haven’t figured it out, but it’s a separate click to turn on m-mode/sport HUD display. It’s not automatically associated with M-button selection, like it was in my F80.
Every drive it’s separate click on the M1 button, and then clicking and scrolling for sport display. Highly annoying. |

I have driven my car a total of 30 minutes and I noticed this too. Please tell me there's a way to link the display to the M mode buttons. Also, the exhaust button on the center console, is that just turning on/off the fake piped in noise?

Also, I’ve also noticed Waze being off, showing me on side roads when I’m squarely driving on major highway. |

The persistence of the Active Lane Assist really irritates me. I hate these systems. Roads are full of imperfections and avoiding them is crucial to tire life and suspension health.
