question about swapping wheels, help.

I have a 330i 2006 with Sport package wheels 18" (style 162)... I want a set of winter tires therefore I am planning to get a set of new wheels and tires. I like the OEM 17" (style 161) with winter tires and I'm planning to order them from BMWWHEELS.com. MY question is::::
will they fit and bolt right on to my car? without using spacer or anything?

thanks

they will fit with no problem.. same offsets as the 18's.. but the rear can use a spacer for more of an aggressive look. I have those as my stock wheels and if i plan on putting them back on im leaving my 15mm spacer in the rear

Would the front placements 17" 161s fit on a base 325i...not looking for a staggered set-up or spacers...(sorry if this Q has been discussed)

YES it will fit fine.. you want to put 17x8 all around? cause the rear is 8.5 wide

Thanks DTDREW...upgraded rims are in my immediate list of Mods ... skipped out on the ZSP when ordering due to performance tires and sports suspension (streets in DC are rough) ... but realized that aesthetically the standard 16" 156s just don't complete the car and since all-season RFTs don't come in 18" fitment yet, 17" rims it'll have to be. Aside from the 161s, thinking 159s and 17" ASA AR1 (silvers) make for a cost-effective non-OEM choice.

DTDREW: so you'r saying that the 161s will fit with no mods. therefore the SPACER you mentioned is an OPTIONAL step right?...am i getting this correctly?

Would love to, but need all-season tires (no space for winter wheel set up) and they are not available in 18" quite yet (at lest according to TR) ... besides am thinking about adequate sidewall to cushion the cratered streets of DC...car will be a daily driver/commuter.

DTDREW, do you mean that the 161s(rear) are so tucked in when you install them onto a 330i?...Does it look that tucked in on a 2006 325i SP?

thanks
