Great looking 2 series

I think they did a great job on both the M240 and 230i. Usually the lesser model looks plain and unappealing unless it has enough upgrades, ie wheels/tires, etc. This 2 looks great in both M sport and non M Sport. Still very aggressive, even with the base 18 inch wheels.

100% agree! The 230i looks great considering it's the entry level BMW!

I find it looks better than the m240i. The 230 is cleaner around the nose & tail. I also prefer the body-color rockers and mirrors.

I know what you mean. However, if you want body colored rocker panels, you can't opt for the M-Sport Package. But I do agree that the 230i is a bit more simple looking!

Anyone hate the bridge between the two kidneys of the grill? Otherwise, I'm impressed by what's underneath.

Looks like it's an attempt to facilitate the front facing camera as cleanly as possible. But ya, I agree I would much prefer a gap.

Saw the thread title and couldn't resist...

Picked up this on 11/22 and I upgraded the wheels to 255s on all four corners.

I have not gotten on the throttle, and the brakes just got broken in, but I do love how this drives. I cannot compare it to the M240, but it handles very, very well. Extremely maneuverable in traffic. So far, at moderate throttle inputs, it is quick enough for most traffic. When I get aggressive with the throttle, I think it'll be very quick. Of course, when a Dinan tune comes available, I'll love it more than a 2WD M240i, but I'll still opt for a G87 M2 when they're out.

Thank you so much for sharing these photos! I am actually thinking of a 230i now as well as I can go all out on the options and still be under budget. As much as I love the M and how well the reviews are, for a daily 80mile commuter, I probably don't need that much power for everyday driving. Probably =).

So, I was wondering if you could share some more photos from the front and back of the car?
And if you could share any thoughts as far looks compared to the M240 that is all over the web. I am only seeing the difference in the cerium color on grill and bumper, and side mirrors. Are there any other cosmetic difference?

Here is mine.

I posted pics already in a short PDC description and decided to add here as well, great idea to consolidate 230i's. My impression is that I love it performance wise and visually.

Build: 230i M-Sport, Portimao Blue Metallic, 19" M 791 Wheels, BlackSensa Tec Seats, Aluminum Tetragon Trim, Park Assist, Premium Pkg 2, Moon Roof Delete, Harmon Kardon, Drive Recorder.

@Bulldog 6, we have a very similar build.

For my car, I went with:
  • 230i M Sport
  • Dynamic Handling Package - Red Calipers, 19" 797Ms, w/performance non-run flats
  • Premium Package 2
  • Portimao Blue
  • Cognac Sensatec
  • Tetragon Trim
  • Remote Engine Start

Also, how was the PDC experience?

I cannot put in words how much fun we had at the PDC. Here is a short summary I posted. You definitely have to go.

Looks great! I just traded in my MX-5 for a 2022 230i. Really enjoying getting used to it, very similar build. New to forum, nice to see some love for the 230i in an ocean of 240s.
