Any Axleback Exhausts Yet?

I can't find any companies that are just selling just a valved muffler system. The Fi exhaust would be perfect (quiet comfort mode like stock and decently loud sport mode) but I'm not really interested in a full exhaust. Pretty lame that the only products out there right now are just for the M2 and M340i.

Yes I am aware of the Akrapovic but that price is just insulting.

Someone fact check me here, but isn't the M Performance Exhaust for the 2 series a titanium axle back?

https://youtube.com/watch?v=sGUqhbG9ajo

I recall reading something about akrapovic co-designing the MPE thought that might have been more oriented for the M cars.

If you're state side this is on discount with free shipping at GetBMWParts for about 1.8K. Dealership is probably gonna just charge you the full 2.2k. Labor is around 5-6 hundred iirc. Still pretty pricey to be honest.

I'm having an MPE thrown on myself. There are probably better performance mods you could do to the car first, but if you're looking for sound it seems the MPE mostly accentuates mid-range sounds imo.

MPE is too loud in comfort for my taste.

While the description on some sites say the M Perf exhaust is titanium it is 100% not and is just typical stainless steel.

I have it on my car tips are definitely not titanium. Also what mpe did you hear that was to loud in comfort I can hardly tell the difference over stock.

I just watched some YouTube videos. It looks like the MPE is just a smaller muffler. So you get a less prominent valve system where the closed doesn't sound much different than open (in other words, both are loud).

Mine only sounds like that when it's in sport + and it holds the rpm higher or if you rev it out a bit in manual mode. Sounds nothing like that in comfort.

You're probably hearing the difference in Active Sound Design (fake pumped in noise). Comfort mode should have close to the same loudness if you listen to it from outside.
