Radio Stations Stop Scrolling

When I scroll through my preset stations the scrolling will get stuck rather frequently on a station and not move forward or backward when pressing the steering wheel buttons. When I press the steering wheel buttons the HUD will show that I am trying to scroll, but the station won’t change. Then I use the “wheel” scroll that moves through the stations via the HUD and the station changes. The buttons on the steering wheel will work again for a while before this happens again. Thoughts on this one?

I don’t have an answer but have had the same issue a few times over the last week. Haven’t yet figured out if it happens under some specific circumstance or not. I have presets set as one of my shortcuts and going back there and starting over seems to fix the problem. Not a huge deal but a little annoying.

Ok, glad to know it’s not just me. Seems to only happen in presets. If I scroll through my iphone while streaming music not a problem. Also not a problem with radio or satellite.

have had the same issue with the steering wheels controls not always working for audio sources since day 1... doesn't matter if it's scrolling through the radio, going through my saved radio presets, selecting the next song on Spotify while using Android Auto, etc... sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

Are these AM/FM stations or SXM?

I don't have a solution

but am wondering if the steering wheel control can be programmed to advance the SXM preset stations?

My presets are a mix of AM, FM and SXM. Usually works fine, sometimes it doesn’t.

Same. Seems to happen when going from Sirius to an FM station. iDrive wheel seems to work OK when that happens.

My issue seems to only be with the presets which is a mix of satellite and FM. I am going to remove the Satellite from the presets and see if the problem goes away.

Never noticed this problem and I have a mix of Sirius & FM stations. This start after recent software upgrade?

When I advance from the steering wheel it just jumps to the next SXM station. For example my #1 preset is SXM-28, #2 is SXM-35. If I'm listening to #1 and I advance it just goes to SXM-29. How do I change that behavior to advance to preset #2 instead?

I think you do not have your source set to Presets, but Sirius where it's all their stations where you would go through them sequentially. Sometimes I unknowingly switch from Presets to Sirius.

another nuance to this issue...

when the steering controls stop working, if I change stations via iDrive, the steering controls will start working again...

also sometimes when the steering controls don't work I will get a momentary notification on the dash like it's saying the station is changing - for example, if I try and more forward a station the current station/preset will pop up on the dash along with the >| symbol but it won't actually change to the next station or preset.
