Congrats and nice spec! Red does work well on the g87.
Funny, I use the same car seat method for my child in my OG M2. We don’t use this car often as a “family car”(have a new bronco 4 door for that) but it’s awesome that I can take the baby to track days and cars and coffee events without compromising front passenger legroom. As you mentioned, it actually seems more secure in the middle than it does on the sides. Don’t think this method would work with 2 children though. When that time comes I hope to move up to a g80. |

And yes, that’s awesome to see! They love it too, and you keep your seat adjustability. Just mind which seat you buy after the infant’s, since some are too wide. Nice car and what a cute baby! |

Last Sunday there was a couple in an F30 sitting outside of the car parked next to me, gorgeous sunny day. The woman came really close to my car with the sleeve of her orange jacket to compare the colour.
Turns out the husband said the car was red. She said it was as orange as her jacket, so it was orange. They were discussing it when I arrived to help solve their debate. Hope this answers your question lol |

For those that care, after getting to know the car more I was able to find my perfect preset for the M1/2 buttons. Compare and contrast to my first post with my initial impressions and setup, and driving the car more helped me understand and feel things differently:
- Engine: Sport Plus. Why? I’ve gotten used to the pedal feel (it seemed like an on/off switch coming from the 135i), and the more instantaneous response is great! Plus, I learned the exhaust sound is even louder than in Sport. I originally thought there were two modes, quiet and loud, but there are 3, and the loudest (with pops and bangs on overrun/deceleration are more pronounced in Sport Plus. It’s more fun and engaging. The open flap exhaust only works in Sport and Sport Plus, so you can have “quiet” in Comfort, “Loud” in Sport and “Loudest” in Sport Plus. - Chassis: Sport Plus. Why? It’s fine in Comfort, but it “floats” a bit on the highway. I thought the steering was too soft and I played with sport steering, but it was the suspension. Now the car is more planted, and it is still comfortable (to me, coming from a coilover very low 135i) - Rev Match: On (still good) - Exhaust: Open (Loud, because of course) - Steering: Comfort. I have tried it in Sport many times. It just does not work. It’s a fake resistance that I cannot bear… comfort is just right, and with the suspension in Sport Plus the car feels planted. - Brakes: Comfort. Same as steering. Sport is just too much, very fake, and doesn’t allow for the normal braking modulation you’d expect. Comfort is just right. - Traction: MDM. Still the best amount of playfulness without risking getting into a crash. |

Finally found some time to ceramic coat it! Happy with the results, but don’t know how well it works…
Bought 3 C.Quartz products from CarPro: - Ceramic quartz for paint - DLUX for Plastics and Wheels (all piano blacks and wheels) - FlyByForte for glass It was my first time applying it. I watched a video on how to correct mistakes if you make them, so I got more comfortable and took the plunge. It’s surprisingly easy though, I felt like I was waxing the car… Results below: |

Thank you! It was definitely time consuming, I spent 5 hours licking the car as I applied 2 coats lol glad it lasts a long time

Hell ya looks great! I plan on ceramic coating my car Friday. Did two sets of wheels with CarPro Dlux, pain in the ass process but they do look great.
Curious, how’d you land on UK3.0? Been debating between that and Gyeon Mohs and heavily leaning Gyeon. |

I think I always had it in my mind that it was a good product, people in the forums always said it was good. So I went with it. I didn’t know many other options. I’m not sure which is “best”. By how easy it was to apply, something tells me it’s not got the best protection, might need to redo it next year. But at least it’s user friendly. Have you looked at Graphene products? Why do you think Gyeon is a good competitor? |

I have loads of experience with CarPro C Quartz. If you layered it with a topper like CarPro Gliss you should get several years of hydrophobic/anti static properties depending on washing practices and how harsh your weather is. Gyeon is a good brand as well, which I have used a few times. Lately I have moved over to Gtechniq products. Their Crystal Serum Light base coating and Exo V5 top coat is very easy to apply and I think adds a little more gloss when compared to CarPro/Gyeon to my eyes.

Have't done it before other than two sets of wheels but Gyeon Mohs looks extremely easy as the product "sweats" and beads to let you know its time to wipe off. DLux was definitely tougher knowing when to wipe off. |
