And you can’t use it with polarized sunglasses, which is also annoying.

Slight objection. You can use HUDs with sunglasses. I have, that's what angle adjust is for.

You may still prefer not to, that's fine. I just want to make it clear to others that it's not like, literally impossible or anything.

Lol. I'm not going to use a HUD sideways. That's idiotic.

Sideways is an exaggeration. But if you don't like it, that's fine. I was only pointing out (for sake of others who don't know) that it's totally usable with sunglasses.

I’m sorry, are you saying you can’t see the HUD with your polarized sunglasses in your G87?

I don’t have the HUD optioned on my G87. It doesn’t work with polarized sunglasses on my G42.

Interesting. It works for me. It’s just not as bright. Not sure if my glasses are different or if they changed something with ID8

I have a 23 M240 with iD8, HUD cannot be seen with my Maui Jim polarized sunglasses.

I agree, this is interesting. More data needed. I'm willing to change my stance if something has indeed changed.

That is disappointing to hear... will be interesting to see once I get mine. I wear Rx polarized RayBan's every time I drive

This keeps coming up over and over. Polarized lenses are designed specifically to eliminate glare and reflections. Your HUD is a reflection. Your polarized lenses are doing what you chose them for. Just buy a pair of non-polarized sunglasses just for driving. There's plenty of options.

If you really need polarized glass, I’ll post this again;

BMW Sunglasses that Work with the Head-Up Display - Review https://www.bmwblog.com/2023/02/03/b...isplay-review/

There are also other brands out there that are advertised to work with HUDs.

I'm still on the fence about a couple features, namely the HUD and the heated steering wheel. The wheel, I could not care less about, but it may help with resale value down the line. The HUD is pricey, and I thought it was a lot of fun in the car I test drove, but I'm not sure if it's really worth it. I have until the order is sent for production to decide.

I'm coming from a 2007 Corolla CE, so hopefully this feels like an upgrade

You just put your order in on April 29, 2023? If so, you could be waiting months for your allocation (depending on your dealership and what their usual receipts of allocations are from NA). Some of the "larger" or higher volume (favored?) Dealerships are averaging 2 a month but that is not the norm nor average across the board. Many have only received 1 or 2 allocations since the initial February drop and some, I believe, have yet to receive any.

With the upcoming model year change, dont be surprised to be waiting till the fall or later for your allocation (I do hope for you, I am wrong).

I thought that might be a possibility, but the sales guy said he expected 1 allocation per month. They're a "center of excellence", if that means anything. I know a million things could cause a delay, so I'm not worried about it. Just a bummer

I got a call from my dealer today that my M2 allocation is ready to rock.

It goes into production July 7th and will be ready in August.

Despite loving the new M2 (especially after seeing what Precision Sport can do to it) I'm having second thoughts about having it in addition to my M4.

Is anyone looking for an allocation? DM me.

If everything goes according to plan and no extended stays in Quality Control, I’d say the end of August is possible to Florida. My car was produced in mid April and it JUST caught a ship.

My co-worker's wife received delivery of her M2 today only to find out that the moonroof (which is standard on non carbon fiber roof) was omited from the build. Even the dealer had no idea.

I have a 24 M440i Coupe on order, I am hoping my build doesn't have issues.

So she ended up with a steel roof with no sunroof? If so that's going to be a unicorn in the USA lol
