Looks great! I believe you that it looks better in person, but looks really good in the photos too.

I also ordered Brooklyn Grey and really nice to see some photos of it.

So where do you find these port installed options? Basically just what is listed at shopbmw? As I don't believe I saw the front inlets listed there. And once you find them you can just request your sales guy to add them? Do they get added to car price or can you just buy them outright?

For port installed, go to your CA, they can add to your build/Order. The price will be added to the price of your car.

If you want to buy them and have someone install them, there are aftermarket places that sell them (and you would have to have them installed). I suppose you could also buy them directly from M Performance and have your dealer install but price will probably be higher and not covered under the car's warranty.

With the price installed and the process to install them, the port installed price, with having it under warranty, is the way to go

Agreed port installed sounds like a great deal. Just wasn't sure if I could just pay for them separately instead of looping into car price. But if that's the case then so be it.

Compiling a list of items for port install to provide to my sales guy once I finally get the production number lol.

No doubt. Considering the list price for the inlets are $970 and it costs $1,045 total port installed, it’s a no brainer.

You can add the port installed items you want before you get your production number. It will just be added to your order so once you do get an allocation and production number, you will be good to go.

Excellent thank you for the info. I am going to reach out to him Tuesday after the holiday. Is there like a parts catalog or something that they have and can share? Or how are parts identified etc?

Yes, they can pull up the available port installed items on their computer. Ask them to pull it up and go over/show you the available items so you can pick what you want. They will then add the codes of the items you want to your order sheet (once you have added the items, ask them to print out a new order sheet for you.

Do you get to keep the stock parts when you do performance parts install at the port?

Nope, that's about the only downside doing port install

You can add Port installed options up to a day before it reaches the port. I definitely wouldn’t wait that long as a lot of parts are on backorder.

You can no longer modify your factory order after 150, you should of received your VIN once it hit Production Begins.

Another upside to Port options is they go on the Moroney and are warrantied as long as the vehicle.

It can add a little extra time at the port but after waiting so damn long for the car, what’s a few extra days or weeks. You also don’t get to keep the original parts as you would with a dealer or shop install.

There is a list of M Performance parts on the forum but your CA would have the latest list. If they claim they don’t know how to add them to your order, have them reach out to their rep from NA.
