Either way they tried to frame it like the PCD was the entity that was saying it might not be possible. So when I emailed them and they responded by CC'ing my CA instructions they didn't really have a way of saying no lol.
Well played sir.

There probably won't be new colors for 2024, so you still wont like the colors. And MSRP is going up for everything in 2024, so if you order one you will still be paying thousands more than 2023 MSRP.

Have they indicated if the M2 is for sure going up in ‘24? I know increases are the norm but I remember hearing from another CA on here that they weren’t.

still in Quality Check as of this Morning

You did not see body shop and paint shop because they will assemble the body in white and then they go to paint. Afterwards the painted body is temporary placed in the “stacker” until vehicle assembly is ready to pull the appropriately painted body for full assembly. A VIN is given at that time. BMW has been using this method for 25+ years at all their manufacturing facilities.

Nice, I’m pleased for you and your progress, which leaves me even more disgruntled that CodeSlinger and I are still stuck in Quality Control (155). 14 days for me, 7 for CS.

Maybe it's a quality check of the buyer, rather than the car. Have you considered taking up yoga?

My assumption is based off of everything else going up for 2024, some cars by a huge amount. I hope it doesn't though. I will be bummed. At this rate it's very possible I will get a 24.

My design sheet says Port Loc.: PHMPOA, which resolves to Port Hueneme, CA. Can someone more familiar help me figure out the whole vessels tracking thing for west coast deliveries?

I would start here with the Port Schedule, check for Vehicle Carriers and backtrack those to the port of exit in Mexico for West bound vessels, which is Port of Lázaro Cárdenas. Then check those vessels on the forum for previous usage, you can also check the commonly used Shipping companies for their schedule. I’m not familiar with them for Pacific routes but check NYKLine. Let us know what you find and if you need more help. Good luck and happy hunting.

I can add my name to the waiting list

Just put in my deposit for an M2 manual in AW. I've purchased a few vehicles from the same rep at my local dealership. Was very happy to get under MSRP (10% off MSRP). ETA that was given to me was early spring. And that's fine with me as I'll enjoy autoX in my ND for the summer before I swap it for the G87.

My dealer just told me the 2024's are sold out; not taking any new orders on them. I havent gone through all 19 pages in this thread so forgive if already covered, but, has anybody else heard this from their dealer or elsewhere?

Nobody knows how many 2024 models they will get. If your dealer said they are sold out for 2024 then they are making an assumption based on how many allocations they have already received and how many people are on their wait list.

No other dealership will be able to confirm this because no other dealership knows how many people are on your dealer's wait list.

I would assume that at this time most dealerships are sold through 2024, or close to it. But then again, you know what they say about assumptions.

An alternative would be paying ADM. I bet you can always find an M2 with ADM if you want one bad enough.

Oof, already? You would know better than me... but daaang.

Man, it's too bad that the G87 "lost the soul of BMW" and was "going to drive away customers and destroy BMW forever" and blah blah blah. Nothing worse for a company than selling all of their product. You hate to see it. RIP BMW.

LOL. And it wasnt just the dealer. I mean, he could be lying but the Sales Damager flat out said BMW is not accepting any more orders on the 2024.
