Oh and also, do we know what the parking package adds yet? Backup assist and AEB for rear cross traffic for the manual transmission is my guess but no description is in the ordering guide...
I go back and forth on shadowline but since I'm pretty sure I want TR with bicolor wheels, I think it'll look better with the chrome tips and normal lights. Heater steering wheel might get cut too since I'd be parking it November through April..., but there would still be chilly driving days early spring/early fall. Haha decisions.

What's the " M- Race Track Package"?

For the price of the carbon package it's pretty good..all things considered it may come with a 1 day m class if the drivers pack is the same as on other m's.

EDIT - considering we won't actually get this car until 2023 and inflation hasn't slowed it's actually going to be even lower, in 2016 dollars.
I bring this up every time someone laments that the M3 isn't $50k anymore, and I remind them they're thinking of 2002 dollars. (Not to mention it's as big as, lighter, faster, and more luxurious than the M5 of the time.)

Prob skipping on the carbon package as I wanted to stay under 70k and who knows how long that will stretch the wait out. I’ll just get the roof and carbon trim and be happy enough that lol. Aren’t they selling alcantara/carbon m performance part seats as well? Prob not as flashy as the carbon, but good option for those who might want similar seats after the fact.

I find it very odd that I can't get the carbon buckets as a standalone option. I'm not a carbon fiber guy but I do get amped by the seats. If I do have to opt for the ZJJ it would be hard to spend 76k on an M2. Not to mention the color options are quite mediocre. Wonder how much individual paint would cost on this. Mexico Blue or LSB would be beautiful on this chassis. Also, curious if you can get Cognac in Full Merino?

interesting that one can get merino leather albeit it costs nearly $10k...

1) what do you get if you don't get live cockpit pro? does another option even exist lol?

2) if i dont get the carbon roof... do I HAVE to get sunroof? I just want a regular roof.

Big disappointment on the delayed buckets and having to buy a $10k package to get them. Puts the car at nearly $80k and loses most of the bargain appeal. Also loses the appeal of having one of the first G87s since I don't want it with sports seats.

Will probably be canceling my order.

1. Pretty positive at this point the $1100 just gets you HUD.

2. Yes, sunroof is standard. No slick top.

I'd assume if they weren't bundled you'd still do the trim, roof and seats...which would come out to $7900. Doesn't make much sense to complain about a bargain deal when you want almost 8k worth of CF parts.

Likely waiting for the center lock wheels to become available from M Performance Parts. Definitely NOT opting for carbon buckets as this is my only car and not dealing with those bolsters in a daily driver.

Just placed my order today. Not sold on the 10k package, but tempted…. The standard seats do not look bad at all in my opinion.

The Wait finally begins!

I bet it has to do with this car being made in Mexico and a parting issue for the North American markets.

The 10k has value if you part everything out.

Well it will sound great from the inside All newer cars are super quiet from the outside...the F87 will be seen as a loud car now.

According to my reading of this document X3 Full Merino Leather does NOT require ZJJ Carbon Package (only X3MM does), but is listed as NC? I don't understand how X3 merino leather is no additional charge when there's no additional requirements.

What is option 7MM M Race Track Package? I was thinking it was the removal of top speed and the M Performance school class, but I believe that's 7ME M Drivers Package also listed separately. Confused.

If you spec it like a 6MT F87 Comp with Exec pack, the G87 is only about $2k more (old car was $61.5k). If you factor in the standard moonroof, it's a $1k difference. If you build a comparable G87 to the old Comp DCT car, the G87 is cheaper since the ZF8 is standard now. That's before factoring in standard Adaptive M suspension (couldn't get it without spending $84k for a CS).

If you spec your G87 like an F87 CS, it's a $10k+ savings.

The OG shouldn't even be in the discussion, that was not much more than a pumped up M235i. Mirrors, seats, modified N55, etc.

You can leave every box unchecked and have a brand new S58-powered M2 with 6MT and Adaptive Suspension that will destroy the old car for $62k. This car is an excellent deal.

[sarcasm on]
No thank you, I just want to whine BMW doesn't sell these cars for $1
I want to add cool stuff like a CF roof, or CF buckets etc but I don't want to pay for any of it, I want it to be free!

[sarcasm off]
BMW is giving you a pretty damn good deal, an excellent engine/chassis/brake system and a friggin manual, for 62k.

Personally bummed I'm kinda priced out for what I'd be getting for the money. :'(
The G87 has tons more standard and features that weren't available for the F87…so considering that as well as inflation I'd say the M2 is a pretty good deal.
Also adding in a bunch of options to any car is going to make it expensive.

Thanks.
I hope it's not a feature that I really want, because I really (really) don't want the carbon buckets and they they only come together. 🤞🏻
