BMW Manhattan got this in today.

An additional HEA they weren’t expecting.

Being owned by BMWNA they don’t do ADMs or hard upsells. For about 3 minutes I contemplated getting it and letting them keep my build but my lust subsided and I came to my senses.

For one it has the Piano Black which I think shouldn’t be in any car and I’m still glad I did TR with the M Colors not to mention the port MP HAS.

This was my first time seeing the car in person and everyone is absolutely correct that pictures don’t reflect the reality of how absolutely stunning and a brute it actually is.

The shifter feels short and precise to me but I’ve been driving my E46 quite a bit lately with the nice weather.

Anyway, some lucky bastard should jump on this.

Ask for Peter Peña, he’s great.

Was told BMW of Northwest Arkansas (Bentonville AR) has a BG M2 automatic due in shortly. Coming up from Galveston.

No info on what other options it may or may not have.

Not an HEA. Not an ordered car. Think the salesman said it was a "gift" from BMW. It is doing this for some dealers. (This dealer didn't get an HEA car, at least not an M2.)

If you're a casual person and half the reviews legitimately ask why anyone would get the M4, you can't really be surprised prices may start to dip a bit until the G82 LCI.

I have piano black and thought the same until I saw it - it matches the dash nicely. Also, it's a premium charge in the M3 and M4 listed as "individual". I suspect it may be a rarer choice.

zero21 you know I have mad respect for you, and I’ve been waiting for your response. I only said that to see if you were still listening to us dreamers on this side of the forum.

In all seriousness it doesn’t look bad, I’ve just had too many interiors damaged by little people I usually love when outside of my cars. Piano Black would be like a game show challenge for my 7 year old and his friends.

My 7yr old has already made a mess out of the side sill and seat back. Definitely persuaded me to not replace the plastic seat backs with carbon or nicer alacantara

Piano black will take work to keep clean. Honestly after installing 827Ms, everything seams easy to keep clean

The few available in Illinois have $10k ADM on them from what I have heard.

It puts the M2 near $78k.

I think if you're willing to spend $78k on a M2, you are better off just ordering a base M3/M4.

Thanks a ton for this post! Saw it the other day and was able to secure the M2 and drive out from Illinois to pick it up at MSRP yesterday.

Was literally about to give up on Tuesday morning and place an order hoping to get one by next year and then saw this.

Ha, unfortunately no. I just randomly called and got Cesar Marrufo, who was also great and super easy to work with. I did mention that I only knew about the car due to a post on Bimmerpost.

Yeah, not sure about that. While I agree on the dollars part.. I am not sure buyers of M2 and M3/4 cross shop. I think most M2 buyers can actually afford the M3/4 but are doing it because they genuinely appreciate a better looking , driving and balanced car. I guess a little bit matter of opinion but I see myself as probably the most unbiased of the bunch (recently joined and placed my first BMW order). I have not been excited about a 2 door like this in the past, so BMW did something right here!

I just picked one up.. hit me up if anyone wants to buy from me.. just looking to break even. It’s zaandvort blue 8 speed auto with m drivers pack and the carbon roof.. sticker was 68-69k…. Paid for window tint, tax license on top of that. Really holding out for a manual after winning the raffle to buy this one…

I have checked into pretty much all the BG manual cars still listed as available in the PA/NJ/NY area and all want ADM. Looks like I am stuck waiting for BMW to decide to give the smaller dealers allocations

I don't think the piano black that is an extra charge on the m3/m4 is the same as the black inlay material that is no charge on the m2. I think there is a material difference with a similar look.
