That's not actually happening is it? I might actually consider selling my f87cs for a s58/dct supra. Otherwise I don't think I'd get any of the newest bimmers. I like the m4csl but for the price I'd get a certified 991 gt3

Looks like F87 M2CS it is...
The 3.0 CSL is MT so there is always hope. BMW would be shoting themselves in the foot if they don’t release a higher variant with MT considering the amount of ‘enthusiasts’ being drawn onto the G87 platform. There is a chance it might be called something else other than ‘CS’

Even Porsche went back to providng MT on their GT3s. Toyota came back out with MT on the Supra. To be honest, I always thought it was dumb for Toyota not to offer MT on the Supra when it was first released but at least hey have it now. An S58 Supra woukd be the ultimate

In addition to, or in replacement of, your M5CS?

This is true, but you have to remember the 3.0 CSL is a car that will cost up to 5 times the price of a G87 M2cs depending on which country you are in. Having said that, the gearbox HAS been produced I guess.

Maaaaybe? That Supra chassis is already a bit twitchy, adding ever more HP and TQ to it presents some problems. And sure they can upgrade the chassis, but that's gonna add either more weight or more cost. If the Supra gets the S58 but then costs $75K, is it still viable in the market?

There is a reason they kept the same 406 pound feet torque limit. I had the same 550 hp as the 3.0 CSL with 450-460 pound feet torque on my G80. It was making some clunking noise at WOT. Ended removing the piggyback.

Why did you get the G80 if you are trading it for the G87?
Probably could have gotten a better deal on the G82 (vs. G80)

Nothing is the answer. The transmission has to be replaced every 50k km. Yes, that sounds ridiculous. No, it's not a joke.

No modern CS to date has received the manual. One thing for sure it won’t have an OG DCT. Everyone has accepted the ZF because they had too. It’s good but it’s not the “real deal”. Hood vent say CS. Turn in grip on 3rd pic says CS. CS models are famous for it.

Pretty sure no one runs this line anymore. It’s been well and truly put to bed with the last 3 CS releases.

If the 3.0 CSL can be 6 spd manual why can’t the M2 CS? May as well get some return on the manual R&D.

Not to mention this rumor is going on 18months, and without a single shred of evidence.

Fairly certain that currently, BMW does NOT know its audience.

I am getting my base G87 from a fairly small dealership. If they even have a list started for this potential CS should I go ahead and put my name on it or wait until it’s officially announced. Obviously we don’t know the pricing at all yet.
