Individual color order and suggestions on dealer?

Hey all,

My wife really likes the new M2 and we've decided to place our first order for a new car since her last one, an E46 330Cic.

1) We'd like an individual color -- how can I find out when this will be available?

2) I'd like to keep my order local but the two local dealers are saying over a year before an allocation comes up, any suggestions for dealers with available cars sooner and with individual ordering options?

Thanks,
B

Can't speak for you location but as for color, its a little better than what Henry Ford said about the Model T (you can have any color as long as it is black). In all seriousness, no individual colors. In the future, they may add some additional colors or finishes but it will not be part of the individual color program. You are probably looking at MY24 or 25 before you see anything new added color-wise.

Limited ability for offering broad color palette at the M2's production site in Mexico.

Cheer up. We could have as rough as VW for the Golf R here in Canada. Only 3 colors on offering.

Gold R? Sounds like it's just one color then.

from what i understand the only 'individual' F87 M2s were cars that were completely built and finished....and then by customer request sent to the individual color plant across town in germany where they were disassembled and repainted.

Could you do an individual G87 M2? Sure, but you would need VERY deep pockets.

Might as well just take it to your favorite body shop and have a full re-spray for around $10k.

And hope they put it together again without introducing any squeaks or rattles.
