The answer is obvious to me. The clever German engineers at BMW have figured out and perfected how to fit two pounds of sheisser in a one-pound bag, and then extrapolated those results into producing vehicles.

Alles KLAR, Herr Commissar!

Well, as the BMW engineers said in early interviews, they took some of the weight they saved and added it back in, via extra supports.

Some extra lower chassis bracing, some extra bracing behind the rear pillars. They felt that it was better to make the car more rigid instead of saving weight.

This is not exclusive to the M2 of course, BMW did the same with CSes in the past.

1. God I hate going home from BMW Seattle. That onramp is a mess.
2. At the 17:30 mark or so, the last expansion joint on that bridge is a beast. Really shows how well the G87 is dampened. Most cars bounce like lowriders at that point but the G87 handles it with ease.
3. Hopefully you get your car soon, it's pretty amazing.

Hey I wonder if BMW Seattle has addtional markup?

Just want to confirm with you cuz I also went test drive today, asking them and it's just MSRP, which is pretty awesome as I was not expecting this from most PNW BMW dealers

I haven't seen Seattle do markup ever, on any car. I wouldn't buy from a dealership that did.

@BMW DIY Guy - Around the 21-22 minute mark the music soundtrack went way up & the sound of your voice went down to the point I could barely hearing what you were saying / talking about. Other then that, great video & I've seen your good content before.

Love the enthusiasm, great video.

I remember this car’s listing. Shocked nobody has bitten at a $80k+ Carbon laden M2.

Yours is the same as my build, minus the Wireless Heating Pad. Where along are you in the process?
