Has this been tested on a drive? I'm keen to see how quick it slides or jumps off..

It's definitely not practical I was just being facetious about the stupid un-integrated tablet.

Fair. Think a phone might fit in snug through that gap and hold in place?

In all honesty, though, that would be a good place to stick a toll pass and keep it out of sight.

I have my toll pass on the back of screen in my Mazda CX50 and it works great there.

I only need a toll pass when I go through riverside on the 91.

Which is 3-4x annually.

Ah. Here in PA we like to charge people entering and leaving the state.

Good idea, not applicable for me as I'm on an electronic tag/toll pass.. might try the sunglasses with a stick on holder or something.

I found these folding Reybans on the beach (St Pete) many moons ago.

You need to try it out as the photo can be deceptive as to lens contact.

I have tried this out although not on any sharp turns yet.

That's actually a great idea.Just stick the transponder to the back of the screen where it can't be seen.

This thread reminds me of why I don't miss living in central Florida since toll roads are now mandatory (specifically 408).

This thread makes me grateful that I don't need a transponder, nor a front license plate. But our roads are crap. (At least I'm not in Texas where the roads are even worse and the toll roads are abundant).

Honestly, using that area for some integrated storage would be a nice use of that wasted space.

Would storage there expose it to the sun and cause it to degrade?

I've actually seen a 4 series on the street with the sunglasses in that position. Thought it looked ghetto. But people are doing it.
