Basically an N/A engine would have to be developed either to be used in another application (along with the Z/28) or as a relatively simple variation of another model. There just aren't enough Z/28s to be sold to justify the cost of R&D and tooling for a new N/A engine for just the Z/28... you need some form of economy of scale. Add on top of it the fact that natural aspiration is going the way of the dinosaur and the fact that the ZL1 1LE is already occupying a similar space in the market. I believe that the above link is nothing more than speculation at this point. |
