6MT Clunk while shifting out of gear.
Hey folks, occasionally I experience a clunk when shifting out of gears. Is it possible that I am just disengaging the gear before the clutch is fully engaged?
Has anyone else experienced this? |

My first gear is occasionally not "fully engaged", and I've had it pop out on occasion, with a scary thud. Is this what you mean?

Follow up question: how bad or unhealthy is this for the car? I assume there is the potential to cause damage to the transmission? |

Slow is fast, fast is smooth. Once you get in the motion and understand the car, you’ll mitigate these little nuances from happening. It’s a fun process and why we drive manuals to begin with! Enjoy and try not to worry too much! |
