Stock Ground Clearance

Has anyone had any issues with airport car park ramps? Ground clearance isn’t exactly generous, and some of the ramps in multi storey car parks are relatively steep/narrow.

Never had any problem with my old X3, but this is a different beast…

I’d say it is about the same as 1,2 & 3-series BMWs we have owned in the past. I did manage to high-centre the left hand sill (driver’s side on our Canadian car) going down into the gravel driveway of our cabin, but I’ve done that in other cars, too. That driveway is challenging to exit in a 2WD vehicle without wheel spin.

It has much better clearance than our Caterham, so I approach ramps and speed bumps / sleeping policemen at an angle through habit, just in case, but haven’t hit the front lip on the ground yet. Kerbs or car park wheel stops are just the wrong height for the front lip and care has to be taken to not scrape the underside or damage the oil cooler on them (although I have the Zunsport grille over it).
