Is there an option to change the volume of lock/unlock beeps? I like having them, but it's so goddamn loud . . .

Better yet, to beep only when LOCKING, since you’re walking away and need to know it did its thing.

No need to beep when you’re unlocking it… that’d be awesome if there was an option.

This is something that actually drives me crazy lol.

I have to shut off the automatic lock/unlock when I go to cars and coffee. Just standing near the car will lock and unlock every couple seconds

Just coded beeps to be quieter, quicker, and a lower tone. Sounds great now!

Ya, happens to me w/my X7 & X3 all the time. The unintended consequence of a convenience feature making things quite inconvenient. Need to be able to hit the key button 3 times to shut that feature off until I turn it back on. That would be a simple enough solution.

Are any of the OBD adapters on Bimmercode's approved list any better or worse (I'm a coding newbie!)

I went with the one made for bimmercode, I used it on my F87 as well and it's still going strong.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

https://www.obdlink.com/products/obdlink-cx/

Tuxon bought the newer stepped up version. I looked at what additional it offers, but saw no need to upgrade for my purposes. Might be worth a look if buying your first one.

https://www.amazon.com/OBDLink-Bluet...ef_=ast_sto_dp

https://www.obdlink.com/products/obdlink-mxp/

I also like the app by OBDLink that's compatible with these. Their app is similar to bimmerlink, but offers a few different items.

The adapters can also stay plugged in if you want and won't drain the battery (they have a voltage cut off).

Any of the approved adapters will all work with BimmerCode. My only recommendation is if you go with a Bluetooth adapter get one that's got a plus in the name, e.g. Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+ Bluetooth. They are faster at reading and writing and worth the extra $$$. The BT ones that are not '+' adapters are painfully slow. The WiFi adapters are all fast in my experience.

Thanks!!

Does the new OBDLink set off the alarm when left plugged in? Couldn’t find that info. It’s nice it shuts down by itself.

The concert profile.

I’ll be installing the BAV sound subwoofers this weekend so hopefully that helps also.

I have an older ODB2 but would like an iOS one. I think I found the web link for it. Thanks.

Maybe old news to you at this point but just seeing your question now.

As long as you close out the App you’re supposed to be fine alarm wise. Admittedly I’ve forgotten and the alarm hasn’t trigger.

Thanks! Not old news, I still didn’t know.

I’m using a cable to use Bimmercode with my iPhone but it’s nice to know the device can be left there if I decide to buy it for more reasons than Bimmercode

I haven’t tried M2siast said it doesn’t work.

I’ve tried to listen for it but perhaps my motorcycle and loud venue ears are behind the nuance. It’s that noticeable to you?

I find the car so well insulated that if I did notice it, it wouldn’t bother me.
