I’ve been at 165 since 3 May. Was expecting car this week. Now delivery is due next week. But, Genius says car is still in Mexico. Genius and Dealer at a loss to explain how it can be in Mexico but still on track for delivery next week.

I’ve seen the dealer’s distribution tab for my order which confirms 165 and delivery estimate next week. I’m supposedly still going to be the first customer car out of my dealer. In this day and age, it cannot be difficult to have real time tracking of cars. Very poor from BMW. It’s not the dealer’s fault but they get the stick from customers.

So another update today on the M2 rollercoaster!! Thanks to our mutual friend AndyDubbya Anthony has confirmed that the status will flip between 193 and 195 when entering the country as the car passes through various stages of the process so it's not as bad as was first thought. There was an update today and my new eta is w/c 26th June (so at least it's no longer reporting w/c 5th June!).

Blue circle bottom right on the BMW website. You’ll need your AG number though from your dealer first.

After thinking my car was on the Horizon Highway. Genius just said I’m at 193 again

Delivery 4th July

Been tracking the Highway horizon which is sat outside Barcelona for no reason whatsoever

It’s a bit low rent that we can’t track our cars.

Have you always been 4 July delivery or has your date slipped?

My original date was 18th June and then when it went to 195 on June 1st it moved to July 28 (dealer). Genius had it at 4th July and still say it’s July 4th

Not checked an update with the dealership but looks like it’s with others at a “port”

Mine was the same, 195 on 1/6, delivery w/c 19/6. Then this morning it went to 193, in Southampton, and delivery pushed back, but only a week to w/c 26/6.

As I’ll be away for the next 2 weeks after my car finally arrives, I’m getting it PPF’d by my local detailer, who has a decent bit of experience and a good reputation, so I can pick it up all done on my return. Anyone had any experience with this?

I’m getting an XPEL “track pack” - bonnet, front bumper, headlights, sills, rear bumper, leading parts of rear wheel arches, mirrors - for £1350 + vat, the roof another £300 + vat, and the windscreen in a different make for £200 + vat I think he said. The XPEL has some kind of ceramic coating equivalent built in, so it repels water.

Do those costs sound fair?

I only have a full PPF quote (XPEL ceramic too!) to compare with but it doesn't look extortionate. (I'm sure others will have more direct comparisons). One of the YouTubers I watch regretted having his windscreen PPFd due to wiper drag/chatter. I assume you're confident of not having such issues?

Thank you “193 crew”. So I’m 165 (since 3 May- built early April). Deliver date always w/c 18 June until last week it went to w/c 25 June.

I’m hoping for miraculous skip to 193
