Loudest g87 M2 exhaust

Hi Everyone. Newbie here. Used to do Karting and Road Racing 20 years ago. Since then I've been driving a Mom car. Just got a 2024 G87 M2 and I'm a kid again.

I'd like to ask what the baddest loudest exhaust I can find that won't void warranty. I really want loud and mean. I used to race agains't an e-46 M3 with straight pipe and that was such a good sound. Gnarliest aspirated sounding car.

Attached my new guy. If I can wake up my neighbors, I picked the correct exhaust!

Thanks,

Javi

Go to your local shady side of town and find a muffler shop that will install straight downpipes and delete every muffler and resonator in the exhaust. Then you'll end up on the EPA watch list, everyone will hate you, and find you incredibly obnoxious.

I mean I want to retain warranty. In my local dealer they pretty much allow everything from the downpipe back. But my understanding is that atleast locally I can't touch the downpipe cats. That being said I'd be trying to look for the heaviest sound keeping the stock downpipes.

First, do not get titanium, get stainless. You will need a system that allows you to fully open the valves. My recommendations catback valved from Valvetronic, Fi, and AWE (when released...its still in R&D). Fi's is pricey with their controller and shipping but its high quality. I have the Valvetronic. I had it with stock downpipes before I added the highflow DPs and sound was great.

Then get valvetronics or active autowerks with non-resonated equal length midpipes. It's like $5000 for the complete system.

If you want a loud, deep sound while also having a clean resonance then go for the TFL Italy catback. They have 1 unit left available at 30% off plus 50% off shipping using my discount code "Dailydownshift". I'm definitely biased, but it sounds so so good and it's made in italy! I have vids of it on my YT channel if you want to check it out

Straight pipe with catless downpipes is the loudest exhaust; it won't sound good, but its the loudest.

If you want a good sounding you should not be seeking the loudest setup.

Nah, not getting paid at all. They just gave me a sweet discount, one I'm very thankful for so I'm spreading the word like I'm a Jehovah's witness

Hi Mike, what would be the loudest AND best sounding?

Thanks again

I like daily driver setups that offer a clean sound with a deep midrange tone and minimal to no rasp on high RPM.

If you want an aggressive exhaust instead, i recommend checking out the FI option

Hey Mike, so what’s your opinion between the Milltek Catback vs Valvetronic catback in terms sound quality and deep sound? Also, pro and con between titanium and stainless? Thanks in advance

Both are high-quality products; Titanium has a higher pitch if that's what you want.

We installed a Milltek's non-resonated exhaust that was pretty loud on Geighty7's Matte Zandvoort Blue M2 in this thread: https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...7&postcount=32. Build, fit and quality were great.

He should be able to chime in and give some user feedback on the system.

Thanks for the speedy response. Not a fan of that high pitch raspy sound. Will be sticking to stainless steel in that case.
