Evolution Racewerks Carbon Fiber Engine Cover for the N54 Engine (135i)
Hey guys, so our carbon fiber engine cover for the 135i/335/535 (N54 engine) is now finished and ready for the public.
All the technical information can be found on our website: http://www.evolutionracewerks.com/product.php?prodid=61 Great way to improve the overall look of the engine may. Definitely stands out. We have 2 different finishes available, glossy clear coat finish and flat clear coat finish. Installation is very easy. Takes about 15 to 30 minutes based on how good you are (for the super lazy, you can install it in 5 minutes if you choose not to remove some parts to help with clearance) . Only basic hand tools needed. The engine covers are in stock and ready to ship. I have limited supply of these engine covers at the moment. They're quite big and time consuming to make. First come first serve. I don't have any clear coat finish engine covers left in stock, but we should have more finished within 2 weeks. Regular price is $249.95. We're offering an introduction price of $225 SHIPPED to any location in the continental US (with reduced shipping to Hawaii and Alaska. International shipping is available as well and we will offer very low shipping costs to these customers. For local customers (Los Angeles area) we'll offer free installation. If you're interested in purchasing, contact me at fredsu@evolutionracewerks.com or PM me. We take all major credit cards as well as Paypal. Pricing for a limited time only! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me as well. Here's some pictures: This is the gloss clear coat finish. We use a compression type plug mold. What this does is gives us a smooth finish on the backside of the part as well as improves fitment greatly. Here's a picture of the back of the engine cover: Here is the flat clear coat finish version: Last edited by Evolution Racewerks; 05-21-2009 at 01:30 AM.. |

Contact me at fredsu@evolutionracewerks.com or you can call me during business hours 11am to 11pm PST at (626) 512-3193.
I apologize that our website does not have e-commerce or prices. Normally, our products are sold through our authorized dealers so we did not have a need for it. However, we're still establishing our authorized BMW dealer network so we're selling direct for the time being to get the stuff out there. We can take all major credit cards as well as Paypal. |

Hehe, I guess it's not hard to notice that in the picture huh?
Intake manifold is currently still in R&D. Someone on the E90post noticed it too and there was a discussion on it for a few days. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=260955 If you want more details or have any questions, I'll be glad to answer them. |

At the moment, I'm working on the flow characterisics with a flow bench to improve and test the design. Since the intake manifold dramatically changes how the engine ingest air, we need to have tuning tailored to the intake manifold. We haven't reached that point yet so no dyno numbers at the moment. We will be sending an intake manifold to Burger Motorsports in early/mid June so they can have a software update for the JB3.

I would love to see a photo of the wet carbon cover on someone's car. Looks great! Fred, you should make a carbon cold air intake scoop as well so half the engine bay will be CF!
Btw, did you receive my email with my pics? Sent it 2 days ago. |
