2024 BMW M240i Sport Package w Square Tires
I took delivery of a extremely low mileage 2024 M240i RWD w MSport Professional Package but it came with Bridgestone AS Runflats in a square set up (8in rims front/back). The car handles mediocre and nothing like my 18 M240i with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (245/35 R18 rear / 225/40 R18 fronts).
I managed to negotiate a trade credit with my dealer to swap out to the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. They claim I can safely fit 255/35 R19 on the 8" rims for the rears but every guide online (including tirerack) says you need 8.5" rims or the tires may not make optimal contact and could wear more easily. Should I instead go 245/35 for the rears and 225/40 for the fronts to avoid any issues and also not deal with selling my rims to get wider ones? Or, can I really put 255 on 8" rims and be ok? |
