Out With The Old - In With The New
Wife and I have had several BMWs over the past 12 years (328, 428, 340, X3M40, X3, X3MC, X3M40i (again). I have also had several Mustangs since 1987 (8 to be exact).
As her lease on her X3M40i was coming due in the summer I got the M2 itch...My dealer got this AW M2 in and went to take a look. I have to say we were both surprised at how nice the AW looked on this car! Amazing color with the cognac interior and bi-color wheels topped off with CF roof. I had actually thought of ordering for spring delivery but we were offered a deal on the in-stock M2 we could not pass up. There was also equity in her vehicle to turn in early. As far as my Mustang goes, it was a 2022 GT Premium with 10 sp auto and most all the options but for the Performance Pack. I absolutely LOVED the car. It had aftermarket 20s on it with 275s front and 305s rear. The 5.0 Coyote sounds amazing especially over 5K RPM to its 7,300 RPM redline. With that said, I always wanted an M2 so we did the deal! Where did the Mustang go? CARVANA lol. Dealer was low on a trade number (I get it, it is a Ford...). Carmax was better. CARVANA was MUCH better. They came in at mid-KBB trade. Yes, I could have tried selling in May or June when people get the itch and have gotten probably 2 to 3K more, but I would have made about 3K in payments by then, too. And the sales tax savings did not make it worthwhile. Selling to CARVANA was crazy easy (they got it with stock wheels, etc). As for the M2, picked it up and drove it straight home as it is ass cold here in Minnesota still. Once it warms up I will give a comparison between the two cars as I know they are at times compared. The car got a lot of compliments at the dealer and several thumbs up on the way home. In a couple of months I will get it tinted 20%, a bit of PPF, wheel spacers, and a CF rear spoiler.

Congrats!! Is this the one from Minnetonka? I do like the white and cognac combo. Nice to see another MN G87 out there. I should be getting mine in the next couple days.

I was back and forth on colors. I really liked the BSM with black wheels and red calipers. Wife, not so much (which is funny because her X3MC was BSM, lol). She did not want red (I liked the red) which is also funny because her 428 was Melbourne Red and yes i know, not the same shade. Neither of us liked the blue. She liked the BG best in pics until we saw an M240i in that color. That was our second choice. Those waiting on a 2025 should have more colors to choose from which will be nice for them!!

Oh nice. I was eyeing up your car's listing. I'm going through Motorwerks. I was on the waiting list at Minnetonka but my guy at Motorwerks found me an allocation quicker.
The car was delivered to the dealer yesterday so I imagine I will be picking it in the next couple days.

I went all black (paint, wheels, interior) with the 6 speed manual. The biggest option I added was the M Perf height adjustable suspension. I also picked up some all season tires to go on the stock wheels until the spring warm up. Going to have the dealer swap them in when I pick up the car.
What tires ended up on your car, michelins or pirellis??

Which AS did you go with? I love the Conti DWS 06 Plus or the Michelin AS 4. I have run the Conti's on several vehicles and they work well year round. My car came with the Pirelli P Zero PZ4 Sport

I went with the Conti DWS 06 tires. Previously had the Michelin AS4's on my M240i and those were solid but heard some really good things about the Conti's. I wanted to go with winter tires but the options are very limited and expensive with stock wheel sizes.

I can't argue with you there...but the wife will!!
I got that black M2 emblem ordered from you yesterday. Now I just need to decide on wheel spacers. I am staying with the stock wheels and suspension. The tires I am getting are the Conti DWS 06 Plus size 275/35/19 for the front and then the rear increasing to a 295/30/20. I was talking with someone at your store the other day and I think we decided that 15mm front and 12mm rear would be best.

I am hoping for the 45+ weather and dry roads...I am seeing that on the weather forecast for next week!
