Xpel pre-cut PPF DIY kits

Has anyone bought and installed any of these kits on the G42?

Considering getting the front bumper kit, and possibly hood/fenders.

Nope, but I will be getting it installed by my detailer when I eventually get the car next year:-

Full Front Xpel PPF Protection Package including Side Sills consisting of Bonnet, Front Wings, Headlights, Front Bumper and Side Sills

New Car Detail and Xpel Fusion 2.0 Ceramic coating on PPF and Paintwork

Wheels removed, Ceramic Coated using Xpel Fusion 2.0 including Exhaust Tips

I cannot wait and believe it to be a good investment.

I did. Hood, bumper, front fenders, mirrors, A pillar, partial roof, side skirts, around rear wheels. That was my first time doing it so some areas have tiny bit of bubbles. Very happy I took that path since it was way way cheaper than doing it by a pro. I bought this kit online from North Tints. I'm the image below you can see all the pieces. Orange lines need be wrapped around the edge.

Cool, thanks. I have experience with tinting so I think I can pull it off. I don't care if it's not 100% flawless

What tools/sprays did you need to buy to do this install? Planning on just the front bumper.

I just got two sprayers from lowes, baby soap, alcohol and squeegee. Just remember that you can pull and stretch the film. Also heat gun can be used but it's really rare.

I had the front bumper kit installed in November 2022 and my front bumper is still flawless, I’m very happy i did it; I paid an installer (my buddy runs a shop) and he did a perfect job. I also had the full hood done.

During the install we found that one of the pieces of film included with the kit was not designed for cars without ASS. I had to reach out to them and after some back and forth they sent me the correct piece, and i think they since corrected the selectable options for the kit.

I bought the front grill surround kit, no complaints, bit of a PITA to install though, all curved surfaces.

The kidney kit? I got that too. Yes i am very glad i didn’t attempt this myself. I did a few small pieces to cover the black parts in the front bumper and it was a PITA.

Yes, the kidney kit, keeps the piano black looking great, but had to order a 2nd kit, one piece just did take well and started lift, attempt 2 has been 100%.
