These renders are giving me E36 vibes - relatively great performer for its intended purpose but design generally not well received.

Like BMWs of the past, could be something that could be more appreciated some time down the road.

Very cool. A lot of character just like the M3/M4, but in a different way.

I think you have a point there. It's like an R34 GT-R mashup with an e36 M3.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I don't hate it. If the headlight shape is indeed different than the base 2 series, then it fixes the front a bit to my eyes. I still hate the frameless stamped looking grille surrounds and the tail lights, but it's getting there.

Obviously, these are totally inaccurate. Why even bother commenting 'it looks like this or that'?

Preparation for hood divets like M3/4. That's my guess.

The plumbers crack might be one of my low-key least favorite design features on G8X, was hoping it wouldn’t make it to G87 *sigh*

Good render of a horrible design. I really really hope this is not the final bumper... Usually M cars look better than the normal series... this might be the exception if it looks like that.

Appreciate your efforts!

However those big square air vents are a big no from me.

I think it's just missing some honeycomb grille covering the lower portion of the bumper

I really appreciate your renderings. They are great. I kinda hope the G87 doesn't go as squared off as you show it. I have to admit that it does look good but I like the quirkiness of the scoops over generations better. They say BMW to me.

Looks nice!

I hoping if you leave the ACC option off that you don't get those angled pieces in the lower opening making it a one piece lower grille.

Given how much the new M240i weights, I bet the new M2 will weight only around 50kg less than the M4, at around 1750kg.

It looks better than what it really is because everyone is comparing it to the G80

Personally, I think it's an okay design but by no means attractive

I see little incentive to upgrade to this from the F87, while the interior is significantly better, the exterior will feel like a big downgrade

Seems like a taller license plate won’t work with that bumper.

Still hoping that front bumper is not real. It's blocky and boring.
