Introducing AP Racing by Essex Radi-CAL Competition Brakes, with rear parking brake!
Hi, Many of you may be familiar with our AP Racing by Essex Competition Brake Kits for previous generations of BMW M cars. We now have a fully sorted front and rear brake kit for the G87 M2, including an option to maintain your parking brake! Our front system shaves just under 20 lbs. of unsprung weight from the OEM front brakes, while our rear kit also shaves another 20 lbs. if you aren't running a parking brake. If you do need a parking brake, our solution saves you about 6 lbs. That's anywhere from 26-40 pounds of unsprung weight removed from the car. For the track rats, our systems also fit a wide range of 18" wheels. (ps FYI...The M2 we weighed tipped the scales at 3635 lbs.) All our available brake kit options for the G87 M2 can be seen here. We posted a lengthy introduction to our front system on the G8x M3 forum, which you can see here: https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1991961 Here's a blog post specifically examining our front kit for the G87 M2: https://www.essexparts.com/news-blog...the-bmw-g87-m2 We just completed a blog post detailing our rear solution as well, which can be read here: https://www.essexparts.com/news-blog...2g87-rear-kits We also happen to be running the largest sale in company history through November 30th, so if you're looking for the finest brake solution available for your M2, now is the time to buy! Our calipers also offer huge convenience benefits to anyone who is swapping between street and track pads, since our calipers don't need to be removed to do so. Was that 3635 lbs a stock G87? I ask because if you take 40 lbs off with brakes and another 40 with wheels, we're in the 35XX lbs really easily. Take the rear seats out for shits and giggles and you're in 34XX without doing much to the car.

Impressive weight loss on the rotors considering the BMW rotors are already 2 piece rotors.
2 questions: 1. Are the vanes in the rotors direction so you have a left and right rotor? 2. Talk about the pads. Do they use a typical pad that is produced by G-loc, Carbotech, Pagid etc?

Yes, absolutely the vanes are directional, and there are 72 of them per disc! Yes, we us an extremely common pad shape available by all major pad manufacturers in all of their compounds. All the brands you listed, plus many more, offer the shapes we use in our kits. Click on the link below and scroll down. You'll see all the detail you could ever hope for about disc vane shape, vane count, as well as info on the various pad shapes. This kit is our front CP9668/372mm kit, which tends to be our most popular option for the M2/3/4. It uses a 25mm (one inch) thick pad that lasts a very, very long time. https://www.essexparts.com/ap-racing...mm-g80-g826393 Here's a look inside our discs: Here are the inch-thick pads used in the 9668 calipers, which is about 5mm thicker than the OEM pads: |

You're running out of time to save over $2,000 on a four-wheel AP Racing by Essex Radi-CAL Brake Kit for your M2! Don't forget to allocate some of those Black Friday funds to the gift that will keep giving the whole track season through.

Will this fit G82 (2023 m240i) application? Also, is their a printout template to check wheel clearance?
