Parking Assistant Reduced
This is a message I have been getting on my '22 230i with ID7.
Trying to figure out if there is something I can do - e.g., clean off the sensors, wherever they are - or whether this requires a trip to the dealer. |

Mine started doing it at around 200 odometer miles in. Gives me that message every time I get in the car. Along with it, my right side blind spot detection no longer works. I have assumed its due to some slight physical damage I can see on my front-most passenger side proximity sensor. There is a small hairline crack in it like it was hit by a rock or broken/dropped during installation or something. Its too small of damage to have noticed when I picked up the car, I only found it during an extreme close-up inspection. Part of me thinks it was possibly like that when I got it, and that it waited 200 miles to fail because thats when moisture made it in (the warning coincides with the first time I drove the car in wet/snowy conditions).

Well, i wiped off the sensors with my hand, though they didn't look dirty, and that seems to have solved the issue - for now.

I just replaced one front passenger sensor on my ‘22 230i id7. Not covered under warranty, it cost a little over $550 to replace it. Unfortunate, but sometimes unavoidable when it’s the DD.
