991.2 - GT3 or S?

My spec GT3 is 158k and the carrera S similarly equipped is 125 with the CCB's.

worth the 35k premium? Ehh idk probably, based solely on resell. after 15k miles and 3yrs the carrera S will be worth about 85k and the GT3 140 I imagine.

id rather daily the Carrera S, especially with a strong tune and exhaust.

Id get something else if I had an extra 100grand or sold something tho. Like a 2k mi huracan spyder or 458 spyder.

idk

The gt3 will hold value better, the CS is a better daily. I've spent significant time driving both.

Don't expect to pay sticker for the new GT3.

Yes, GT3 will not depreciate.

You will lose your ass on base S.

GTS?

...and you should be able to get around 10% off an S.
Pencil to paper.

The GTS hits the sweet spot for myself.

I'd go for a targa for sure but I hate the awd.

They make 400models of car but there's no targa rwd S/gts

Because a it's the constant sliding $$ :value scale
Why pay targa awd money when I can get a sub 1k mile turbo s for the same money or less or a new gt3.

The targa is stunning though. To me, easily the best looking top down car.

GT3 by a mile. You could drive it for 2 years and sell it for practically no loss. Hell it might even appreciate. The base 911's are only good buys if you get it CPO IMHO.

I'll be the dissenter here, I wouldn't want to daily drive a GT3 with that huge wing and even lower suspension thatnan S with SPASM. I ding the front end bumper guard almost daily, luckily it's easily replaced at less than $200. Front axle lift isn't going to do any good when you don't see the problem way ahead of time. I can't see myself stopping to raise it every time I see a speed bump. Those GT3s that don't depreciate much usually have very few miles on them. Trying to sell a 2 year old one with 20k on the odometer isn't going to be that easy.

Sound advice. GT3s even with 10-20k miles don't depreciate that much over the <10k mile examples. Unlike Ferrari, where that type of mileage would equate to likely 6 figure or more depreciation, the difference is minimal.

If the GT3 is in contention its a no brainer. That's like asking if I should order the porterhouse steak or grab a Big Mac?

Personally, if I'd have that kind of money, I'd look more for an exotic. Something that is different and stands out a bit.

GT3 obviously, or you could get a 991.1 S and have $100k in your pocket...

If you can get at MSRP= GT3.

Otherwise you're better off with the more comfortable and daily driveable C2S.

If I was buying new, I'd just get a base 911. Word is they are as fast as my 991.1 S and no way I can get anywhere near the limits on my car.
