Hey guys/gals, I’m Joey. Just wanted to post my new Brooklyn Grey G42 xDrive with Tacora red interior. Don’t see many in this combination. This is my first bimmer and I’m pretty excited. I owned an A90 Supra previously and though I loved and enjoyed owning and driving it, she gave me a taste of what would lead to this car, which is quite the upgrade. If anyone has any recommendations for mods or anything, I’d love to get your thoughts.

Congrats! Car looks good and good call getting the ZTK pack. I highly recommend lowering (especially with good coilovers) and spacers as far as mods go. I'm enjoying the car a lot more after doing so. Stock suspension was too soft for me and the stock wheel gap was inexcusable! A little more sound via downpipe and/or exhaust would be wonderful too.

Why do you consider this car to be an upgrade? Is it because of the interior?

Hey Alex. Well, if you’ve ever seen the interior of the A90 Supra, it’s basically the Z4 interior and the m240 has a much nicer interior. Not to say the A90 Supra interior is bad, per se. But in terms of appointments and space, it is indeed an upgrade. Plus, iDrive 8. As far as interior space, I’m burly fella- 6’5 260, so the m240 fits me a lot better. I can still see out of the rear window if I turn my head but hey, no complaints so far.

You’re right. The m240 is much more modern and refined. I suppose it’s an upgrade space wise, maybe downgrade feel wise.

Thanks, and yes, definitely looking into those mods. I’ve already got spacers on until I decide on a set of wheels (I’m looking at VMR V710s), Eibach springs, and the Dinan axleback exhaust. Then I think I’ll be done for awhile.

Yeah, don’t think I could ever replicate how the A90 felt on the twisties. I live in N.Ga, so I took it on the tail of the dragon a few times on stock suspension and it was amazing. But, I’ll see how the 240 feels on springs soon enough.
