Nope - you can still have a heated wheel.

Ah! Yeah, that's a non-starter. Now I'm pickin' up what you're puttin' down.

Carry on!

Voice command does not work for the heated steering wheel. I tried a couples of day ago with that in mind, so I can change the wheel withoul loosing the heat function. For the moment there is no solution.
There are some folks on this forum (can't remember if here on g87 or g80) who managed to code the heated button into the climate menu, now it show there but it's not working. Maybe they can find a solution.

Not having the button is a no go. Let me now press 2 buttons (screen & screen) AND take my eyes off the road to do the same thing I can do now by feel. Sometimes I want to just throat punch software people.

But screens are better! Buttons are SO legacy. They need to force us to shift and steer with touchscreens. Death to buttons!

Funny thing about buttons. They took them away in the Jeep Grand Cherokees & made everything done through the screen like BMW has done. So many people complained, they brought the buttons back after just 2 years.

Who needs a frigging heater in their steering wheel anyway? What, do you guys live where it snows and high temps are below freezing for close to half the year?

I was looking into this for awhile. The aftermarket imported ones that look like this have the heated steering wheel with button in the lower middle like Porsches. I think Autotechnic, RW carbon, AutoID, etc all same the same imported knock-off version of the LCI wheel. Which actually might be better than the BMW made one? I found genuine BMW ones on Ebay and they said there is no button and not sure if would work on a non LCI bmw.

Not very nice. I get to visit sunny FL a few times a year, only to return to my cold, arctic wasteland.

My new custom carbon fiber & alcantara wheel should be here this weekend. Much cheaper than BMW wheels, and the quality appears very good. The first one I received had messed up stitching, so hoping the replacement is correct.
