Yah I know, I am just worried the 135i is too small and cramped. I need to take a drive in one for more then 5 minutes. I really don't know. The only problem with the A5 is the 0-60 times, kind of slow at 6.1 to 60. About the same as a 128i manual. I don't need the extra seats, I just feel cramped in the 1, its smaller then my Civic Si. Like I said I need to drive one, I just hate test driving cars with a stranger, it sucks. Like I am on Stage making a speech.

Get the S5. Of course that probably is way out of your price range. You should also realize, Honda makes cars with quite deceptive interiors. They know how to make a car look small on the outside and spacious on the inside. I can comfortably sit 4 ppl in my 89 civic hatch, yet in my Audi, the passengers in the back are cramped as hell. If you are needing to haul passengers frequently, then you might just want to step up to the 3 series instead. Better yet, use the Civic to haul ppl and the 1er as the weekender. |

At that price point, I rather get the C63 AMG. Not a purist car but it has power, heritage, and lots of silly fun

As for price, an A5 with the S-line sport package is $42k. I don't need nav, bluetooth, and all the crap.
As for 2 cars, CAN'T do it. NO room and $$$ for 2 cars. No beaters, no 2 cars ever, never, can't do it, no way Jose' |

I like the A5 with the S-Line package. I love this car, and I could cross-shop it with a 135. It comes down to, do I want quite luxury or raging fury. Honestly, both have their advantages.
However, I don't spend a lot of time in my car anyway, so raging fury seems more fun in short bursts. If I traveled a lot, the A5 would be more seriously considered. |

When I priced out the A5 again, when you get the S-Line pkg you also have to get the premium pkg. which bumps the price to $45k. Thats getting too high. I can afford 6-7-800 a month for a car, but it will take away from what I want to save each month. I have to draw a line somewhere.
I think the 135i is more my style. I drive the shit out of my cars and I think I might start to beat on an A5 because it really isn't very quick. My 07 Acura TL-S had 286hp and was quick but I wanted more. I also think my TL-S was faster then an A5 would be. I am not comparing the TL-S and A5 for anything else but 0-60, not handling, etc. I know all about FWD vs. AWD and RWD. Thats another reason I sold the TL-S. The Civic Si I drive now is just a stepping stone. I figured I would have it for a year or 2 so I can pay off debt, save money, and decide what I really want. I have to wait awhile b4 getting anything, but thats good. Now I have time to really do research and decide. |

i was crosshoping 135 with evo X, g37, corvette and to a much lesser extent subaru sti. The evo has a lot of tuning potential (shiv said it gets the most power with just a tune that he's ever seen), especially now with BMW being so hard on tuning. Also, the evo will outhandle the 135 because its trick awd system drives itself. You may want to test drive one, and you can buy them at invoice. which is like 30k. Also, check out corvettes. Around december last year new ones were being advertised for as low as 37K on the corvette forums.

Thankyou sir. I was looking at the new EVO but haven't driven one. It does look great. But I kind of like the EVO 9. Last years body. There's a guy around where I live that has an 07 EVO all 100% white and debadged. It looks AWESOME. So clean and tough.

The audi A5 looks great but it is 30 cm longer than the 3 series sedan and has smaller head space on the back seats than the 1 series coupe. With the A5 I am sacrificing space and performance.
If I want a really confortable car I would go for a 4 door for example a 5 series. |

No thanks too much cash$$$. I think the 135i or an AWD Audi A3 would be better. I wish the new S3 Sportback with AWD, a 265hp T 2.0 and a 6-speed manual would come to the states. Its a great looking car and runs 0-60 in about 1 second slower then the 135i, which isn't slow. ONLY is Europe for now, CRAP.
