Congrats! Just placed my order and got a build week for May 15th. I’m contemplating some of the m performance CF parts. Curious if anyone else has the rear spoiler and front splitter?

No PPF cause rock chips aren't really a issue where I live, will use that money on forged wheels/MP HAS etc.

went with the regular ceramic coat this time, they have a $500 one that's better that I'll probably go with next time
Did you purchase distilled water or did you boil regular water?

I’m going to get around to coating my frozen grey this weekend. Well the doors and rear half as the rest is ppf’d.

iifymbro So when you put the matte ceramic on your frozen paint, does that mean you could run it through a normal no-touch automatic wash? I think people fear there’s gloss enhancers in the soap (even if you don’t choose the wax options) that would “shine up” the frozen matte clear coat.
Does the matte ceramic help guard against that at all?

yeah I wouldn't risk it with the automatic wash, should do hand washes only. The ceramic coat makes it really hydrophobic and easy to clean but any kind of gloss enhancer will likely de-matte the surface regardless. Doesn't have to be done that often either, hand wash every 3rd weekend or something should be fine unless you drive in really bad conditions and have to do it sooner, and keep the dr beasely's matte final finish around for any bird droppings or particularly nasty bugs that hit the paint inbetween washes

The sealant or wax or gloss enhancing polymers in a touchless wash won't last that long. You can always wash the car with an alkaline soap and it will probably remove them anyway. Even if it is a problem, it's probably not a permanent one.

They sure don’t last long. I’ve got my favorite touch-free wash near the house and I’m convinced there are zero gloss enhancing anything in the cheap option (a good thing.) You have to select the higher options if you want the waxes n stuff. I just used it for a quick soap n rinse and it works great.
I’m willing to risk one wash after I get the frozen ceramic.

You're killing me. I've gotta wait all the way til November before my FPB '25 gets here. And really, then spring before I get to enjoy it!

Love your car man.

I did the same. Do not post here. Post in ZB thread. Keep FPB thread genuine.

Would getting satin PPF on it ruin the FPB look? My car is currently supposed to finish up on 5/17. Looking to do full PPF once I take delivery.

You mean matte PPF? It does change it slightly. There is slightly less depth to the matte/frozen look. Depends on the color of the car and brand of the PPF, though.

I’m not doing a full PPF for that reason, and I’m probably only going to do an 18 on the hood and fenders (and obviously full bumper, mirrors, headlights etc) and deal with the “line.” I want to see that hood in almost full, in-PPF’d glory. The lines have never bothered me and I’ve PPF’d all of my vehicles.

Matte PPF does much better with frozen paint, the brighter and lighter the color. Black is by far the worst. Drastic difference on PPF’d vs non with frozen black.

I think FPB will be great.

The best I’ve seen is the frozen grey. It was pretty hard identifying which panels were full PPF’d and which weren’t, at first. Once I knew, it was easy to tell it didn’t match, but that color is really good with matte PPF.
