GoPro for bicycling

Thinking of getting a GoPro for my bike. For the third time this month, some idiot nearly hit me yesterday. I was going straight at a T intersection and she was turning right at it. She passed me right as we got to the intersection and then turned right across my bow. I had anticipated such stupidity, so I was ready and hit the brakes in plenty of time to avoid the collision. She just looked at me like I had done something wrong. But since idiots seem to be the rule rather than the exception around here, I thought it might not be a bad idea to have a record of such incidents in case I ever get nailed.

Any suggestion for the best GoPro model for a bicycle?

And yes, I learned my lesson as well. From now on when I approach intersections, I'll be out in the middle of the road instead of along the side. I already do that for sharp curves so some numbskull won't try to pass me in the curve.

Was looking at that one. It's certainly cheap enough. Is that the one you used for your vids?

Their new Fusion setup looks very interesting. That could really change how people create videos.

I suppose i should have explained why....

The session is waterproof (for your purposes), Compact, easy to mount, has internal image stabilization and is relatively inexpensive.

No, i have an old Hero 3 and i use my cell phone for off the bike video. Thinking about getting a session though. Good for the "B-roll" view.

I have a near new (used for recording a total of 47 seconds) Hero 5 with storage case, water proof case, different mounts, SD cards, paperwork, books and on and on with accessories that I would sale very reasonable. Don't know if this is something you would be interested in but for the price, it's a great deal. PM me if you're interested.

Hero Session 5 (what I have). It has the image stabilization which helps avoid the post processing or jello effects of the earlier versions.

I probably should have sprung for the Session 5, although the 4 isn't too jittery. It's my leaning side-to-side a bit when I pedal that introduces the annoying motion. I need to work on keeping my upper body more stable when riding. When I ordered the Session, I thought it was the only small GoPro. Then later I saw the Session 5.

I have access to Adobe Premiere through work, so I may give their stabilization filtering a try.
