Let's replace chrome trunk emblem

Here's how I replaced my chrome 135i rear trunk emblem with matte black.

Purchased on eBay for around $25 including shipping.

I wanted to keep the original spacing and location so I started out with masking tape and marking the position of each character on the top and bottom..

Then I removed each character one at a time with dental floss and cleaned off the residue with Googone.

As I removed one chrome character I replaced it with the matte black character using the masking tape and the marks I made as a guide.

Finally I removed the tape and carefully waxed around the new emblem.

Matte black - I think the all black look fits this car.

you can just use plastic dip. 10x easier and don't have to take the emblem off
