It extends back approximately 10-12 inches.

std hood coverage is 16" from the edge of the buttom hood underneath the kidney grilles, so yours goes to about 26-28" inches. nice!
I think thats the best coverage what I've also thought was best is to laminate the all the roundels for those who had mod it to CF stickers. Since those stickes tend to peel off during wet driving and car washes. nice! Lets us know if you are doing a run sometime and maybe some guys here close to you can hookup for a more fun ride, one or two is nice, anymore may turn into a car meet

If you drive the 335i coupe in the winter time with all of the road salt in this metro area, I think the best coverage would be the whole hood and fenders! Just a little bit longer and Raja will be covering the whole front of my coupe and she will feel safe and secure from nasty chips!

Raja
I just wanted to give another thumbs-up to Raja. He's done a couple of cars for me over the years, and stands behind his work. Great service and quality work!

Another great job by Raja.
Raja installed the Ventureshield clear bra on my 335i coupe (titanium silver); just got it the end of June. Very professional installation and I am quite pleased. When I get my act together, I will post some pictures. Should have had a clear bra installed on my e39. It is amazing how many rock dings one can acquire. Touch up paint doesn't quite cut it. It will be interesting to see how the clear bra handles bugs etc. on an upcoming road trip to Maine/Nova Scotia. |

I'll tell you that bugs/dirt/stains can be a little tough to get out of the clear bra. However, if you use bug and tar remover, it shouldn't be a problem.

For cleaning the clear bra, why don't you guys buy the suggested cleaning products by Ventureshield. (Plexus) http://www.plexusplasticcleaner.com/ It works great with microfiber cloth. Make sure don't wax on the bra. Plexus does the trick...

I have 3M film on order for my E90 and I have an installer lined up. I'm really hoping that the clear bra is everything people say. It probably won't get installed for a couple of weeks, so now I'm paranoid about driving until then... you know how Murphy's law works!

Anyways, about the tint, I forgot who I talked to but I was just saying that they were pushing their Solar Gurad Tints to me. He told me it has metallic and it should be fine for all the devices in our car. NO! BS.... I asked him if he knows about ceramic tints and moleskins. He wasn't sure what moleskin was and said they don't carry ceramic tints. That's all. So, I wouldn't recommend them

Well that sucks. Driven Dynamics is actually my company, so I asked to make sure that someone didn't give you a hard time. You probably talked to our new guy in training. Anyhoo, let me clear things up. I have a thread running in the same Mid-Atlantic section with a group buy on the non-metallic 3M films. I appologize that you were given wrong info. We no longer even stock Solar Guard. Check out the tint thread when you get a chance, there's a rack of e90 members that came in for the intro price for the Carbon based 3M film. Pics included! I appologize for the mix up, but I'll make sure my partners know about this as an FYI. If you guys need any review of our work, please feel free to poll any of the members on that thread as well. Thanks! Bird debris on clear bra
Well -- Some monster bird unloaded on my 335i last Sunday and I
wiped it off with some Zaino Z6 that I had in the trunk. It came right off but definitely left a stain. I applied more Z6 and got most of the stain off but not all. My delivery of Plexus just arrived this evening and I will see how that works. Good thing that I had the clear bra on -- maybe the bird debris might not have damaged the paint but I would not have wanted to find out the hard way. God knows what that bird was into. Check back later. |
