Paint match rear bumper, and side skirts?

Has anyone tried paint matching the rear bumper, and leaving the diffuser black?
I feel like the black sapphire color makes some nice lines show up on the car since there's less visual distraction from the contrasting rear bumper and side skirts Wanted to see how that would look with other colors!

Hope they do this for facelift. Imagine how good Thundernight would look. This is the reason I got black.

I think it’s a better effect on darker colours. BG looks particularly washed out without the highlights.

It might be my age tbh

I dont like black wheels and i hate black trims, looks cheap to me like a lower model version that had to be upspecced to get the colour matched trims, perhaps it still is? look at the M2 now?? (I wanted to do this before the M2 pics was released btw)

I agree on black wheels, I absolutely hate them, but the mindset on black trim applies to korean/cheaper cars, IMO. When I see black trim on a BMW or Mercedes it does not make me think cheap/low spec, it's the complete opposite and is evidence of a sport tuned/M/M lite/AMG, etc.

Great job! I love the look without all of the black plastic. I've been planning to do the same. Maybe you already explained in one of your posts, but did you remove the side sills and bumper pieces or did the body shop do that? Are there instructions anywhere that describe how to do it without breaking clips? Also, do you have a picture of the painted side sill without the carbon fiber winglet piece attached.

Bodyshop did it all

Not really I found a video on YouTube showing someone taking them off, so I asked R44 and Autoid of they could come off without removing the bumper and they said yeah if very careful, but I didn't remove them so can't say how tbh

Also, do you have a picture of the painted side sill without the carbon fiber winglet piece attached

No sorry bodyshop fitted them for me

Here's a Thundernight M240, along with a debadge. IMHO it really does clean up the rear end.
