Happy to be an inspiration ;-)

But joking aside, I live in southern Sweden where the business areas and living areas are mixed around the city, with great bicycle roads to connect all. Home>Work travel is actually quicker than taking the car, plus I don't have to worry where I park it.
Public transport is quite good as well, and I can even manage meetings in two different cities easily, as fast or faster than a car, while working on the train.
In other cases my ride is an airplane.

My cars are "DD" that essentially gets to rest till the weekend mostly.
I'll snap a pic of my bicycle when I get back from Stockholm later on today, but don't expect anything fancy. Just a regular city bike.

I work in a busy town also where it's faster to use bicycle to commute in. Saving time, gas and mileage.

Hi Artemis,
First of all let me express my appreciation for all your efforts, contributions and wish you congrats on becoming a mod.

If you wouldn't mind my humble opinion though;
True, these boards needs mods to order things around. However, for me personally as an M2 owner, this sub-section is a community of it's own. I have absolute 0 interest in the general boards.
Sometimes someone asks about wheels on the general, one might post dyno results or ask where could he find an allocation- in these cases I understand and justify moving.

However, I personally see the general section as... well, generic. Some mix between our own community off-topic to general related, but uncertain, topics.
This is where I go to read general news, as well as get to know fellow members.

Therefore, this thread might be off-topic, but it's a spin-off of a thread all M2 board members know - "what else in your garage". I personally think that in this case it should be allowed, or both threads should be deemed off-topic and moved as a result. I personally hope to see this post stay, along others that are what makes this community a little warmer and vibrant than a plain tech talk place.

Sorry for the long post, it just came as I typed. Nothing personal either.
The way I see it, if we want to have an intimate community, it's either to establish an M2 specific off-topic section, or to show more consideration.

Thanks
MB

I totally agree. hence, fully knowing there are subsections, I purposely posted it in M2 discussion so I know what M2 owners ride. Not what a 3-series GT or 5-series owners ride that are very different demographics.

I'm actually enjoying this thread.

Did you really need to come in here ajust to express your displeasure?

Let's keep this going. If it moves to Fitness THEN I'm unsubscribing. I don't do the other offtopic boards.

I recently got a Specialized Crosstrail Disc. I was comparing to a Giant Roam 2 Disc, but felt like the Specialized fit me a little better for some reason despite looking so similar.

I just got back from Copenhagen. Took a short trip to Helsingborg and Malmo. The small section of Malmo we were in was fantastic. Had a blast.

I just made this video on my phone in an effort to show what genuine bike culture on a national level really looks like. The number of bikes in Copenhagen alone is staggering. Bikes are E V E R Y W H E R E. haha
